Dear Reader,
Millions
of people take to the internet to find information about something they
want to know or need to know every day. They know that the information
they want is out there in cyberland somewhere. They will often visit
many sites and spend many hours trying to find the information they are
after.
Here is where a well laid out content site really
helps.. It will be a much more enjoyable experience for the visitor to
a site if that site is laid out logically and is full of useful
content. If the content is updated often they will come back again and
again You know what that means if it is your site. KACHING!
The
key of course is content - and lots of it. Quantity is important but so
is quality. A site with quality content on it's pages can make
thousands of dollars every month.
It isn't that hard to obtain
quality content to put on your site. You can have someone write it for
you, you can purchase private label content and modify it, or you can
write it yourself. The content itself is not the issue. The issue is
the presentation of that content.
So what do you do if you
aren't a web master or a website designer? Well guess what - it doesn't
matter! No one said you had to know very much to have a great website.
(Okay maybe they did - but they are wrong). All you need is the right
software and to know how to use it.
Have you ever heard the term
"Open Source"? What that means is that there is software out there
being developed that is free to use. Developers are free to create
plugins or modules that add functionality to these programs. You can go
grab this software right now, download it and start using it. You
already know what it is since it is splashed all over the images on
this page. It is called Drupal and it is one heck of a powerful content
management system. The only problem is that it can be a bit
intimidating if you have never seen it before. To be honest there is a
lot to it.
But fear not! Help is right here. You don't have to
try and tackle this yourself or read some dull and confusing book. You
can watch it on video right now.
This
seven part video series takes you by the hand and show you everything
you need to know to create your own site in just a few hours.
