I was wondering whether I could receive some feedback on a blog I've only just started

It only contains 5 posts at the moment but it is open for comments to be made and even trackbacks.

Further posts are obviously imminent

Hey dom,

On first blush....
 - Contest is interesting
 - Layout is ok, but I find the RSS button to be a bit 'in your face"
 - I'd suggest not numbering your posts unless you are recommending visitors read them in order (if that is the case then you should have the 1st post as your static front page)
 - your "recent posts" links do not link to the actual posts, just back to main page (i'd suggest opening these in a new window or using a link to the individual post.)
 - recommend a separate disclaimer page rather than in the initial post.
 - Suggest setting up your email list right from get go (I'd suggest using a flat-rate supplier since you know going in your total costs for email marketing... my recommendation: http://www.trafficwave.net/members/earnmorewith/marketers.html )

Agree with the others.. and that Red Arrow, different. As Surfsmarter mentioned about post numbers. If you want to send your list any of your posts, go into the backroom and copy and paste the title. Looks good mate. Did you do other thing we talked about last night....

I was following along with a tutorial on Youtube where he proudly stated that you could have a WP-based site up inside an hour - yeah right !

Well - I absolutely love the theme - it's exactly what I choose for my main site. Very clean. Great start -- needs a header. As you can see, mine stretches across the entire masthead at www.magicmanconsulting.com.

I like that MM - I really do!

How did you manage to get a header across the whole way? According to the info in the Theme Options the header image can only be 300 x 100?

I was gone yesterday when you first posted this, and I'm just now getting around to coming in to read what's happened "in my absence"!

Looks like you've received some great suggestions, too.

I've already added added "traffic to your site" because I was trying to figure out what you were doing, viewing the various pages, etc.

The "click to reveal" threw me for a bit as I didn't know what you were getting at. I was even thinking that should say something else. However, once I actually clicked I got the picture. 

I agree about needing a header and an opt-in box--especially the opt-in box soon.

I also suggest that at the end of your posts, you give your reader a "call to action".

Thanks for taking the time and the suggestions:
The 'Click to Reveal' - I agree, it needs rewording - I shall ponder on that asap
Header - I've asked a question within the theme publisher's forum about this and I'm awaiting an answer.
Opt-in Box - yeah - got to be done - just trying to come up with a suitable bribe to offer as bait.
Call to Action - good point - I believe I'll be putting those into posts from now on.

other than the fact I dont like using .org sites it a nice site!
