Sales page critique please
« on: December 12, 2012, 10:49:28 AM »
Hi,

I'm awaiting testimonials, but the basics are there.

Please give it a quick once-over and let me know what you think of
1) The copy
2) The look
3) The pricing

...keeping in mind that this targets moms, not Internet Marketers :-)

Thanks!
~Karen

I'm old Bill and my brain's full of cobwebs--looks like the Munster's house lol

...and I'm stuck. Now I don't know what to say

Where's the best place to put testimonials?
« Reply #6 on: December 12, 2012, 02:12:49 PM »
I've seen them done various ways: all grouped together in different places and sprinkled throughout the page.

What's best?

~Karen,

Well I guess that getting old works as I like the changes you made the site looks really good. I must say that I need to take lessons from you.

Hi ~Karen,

I have some comments regarding your sales page.

1. I love, absolutely love those little babies!!!!

2. Your font size seems to be all over the place. I suggest you choose 1 or 2 sizes and use those throughout.

3. I also suggest that you "bullet point" or "check mark" your points in the two sections.

i.e. "Finding a work at home opportunity" etc. (Those 8 points.)

Also in the part where you're listing the helpful information materials like "Ebooks", etc.

4. For your testimonial by Victoria (and others you might include later), if it's possible, I suggest you add her website urls right after her name in the box instead of putting that information outside, under the box:

Like:

Victoria
Owner and creator of
Young Work At Home Moms & Giveaways4Mom.

5. Is it correct to assume or think that somewhere here you're going to say who you are/who has this site and why you are asking people to sign up for the WAHM Club? (If I'm joining a club or a site, I want to know who's running it and/or who wants my money.)

6.  Your membership price seems more than fair, although I'm wondering if you might want to make that a monthly fee instead of a one-time payment. On the other hand, you could then consider making the monthly fee a lesser amount.

Really good stuff, ~Karen.

Hi Karen!

I truly appreciate your in-depth, honest, and most helpful estimation :-)

Definitely some overhaul work to be done here.

Thanks!

Wow Karen! Great critique. I'll say "DITTO" lol! (http://resell-rights-weekly.com/forum/offtopic/cheap-easy-holiday-lighting-%28pic%29/ )

One thing I thought I would mention, is re: Your membership price seems more than fair, although I'm wondering if you might want to make that a monthly fee instead of a one-time payment. On the other hand, you could then consider making the monthly fee a lesser amount.

I used to think that also, especially since I belong to RRW and pay monthly, but I recently read that people will often join up,come in, take everything you have, and then quit. With the one off payment idea, they are more likely to come back again and again, and then you can upsell to your "list" if you want.  And, in my IM life, that seems to be what I have done, joined many monthly sites, checked them out and then quit after a few months.  But if I have a lifetime membership, I go back again and again.  :) That owner has me on his list FOREVER!!

EDIT: I see the 3 payments, good idea!  Personally, I wouldn't go for the 7 days free, (as I think people just come in and rip your site) but then, I am Scottish lol!
