I was wondering if anyone had any experience with article rewriters? I found this today while surfing and it looked real interesting. I just don't know how much rewriting can really be done that doesn't sound like a machine generated it. Any comments would be appreciated! Thanks! http://massarticlecontrol.com/Kelly Ling

Hi Kelly, I just wanted to drop my 2 cents in here (and I hope it's worth more than that). I'll admin that I'm not a big fan of mass article spinners. My first articles took me forrevveerr to write. Now...not so much. I cranked my last one out - it was on a subject I do know a lot about - in about 20 minutes. Perfect practice makes perfect...or close to it. I have also not found a need to submit to hundreds of directories. My feeling is the top 5-10 ought to do it. In order to do that, you just need to rearrange some things in your articles here and there, find some appropriate synonyms ( www.thesaurus.com), and re-write the headline. If you need some help with killer headlines, I'd suggest signing up for one of our member's free report (Valpub aka Dom at www.rednessreports.info). I've generated some pretty good headlines/titles using some of Dom's ideas. So my philosophy is to submit more of my human generated articles to fewer directories. Next, I just have to get better at tracking my articles to see which directories really pull. I can tell you that I've had good luck with www.ezinearticles.com. Looking at results there, it's clear that one article of mine has out ranked all the others combined! I'm now working on putting lightning in a bottle again. Many members here are way ahead of me in this area, so I'm sure you'll get a lot of great feedback in addition to this post. Good luck. If any of us can help further, just ask. Magicman

Hi Kelly
Here's my two cents worth as well - heck, we keep this up long enough you'll soon have your 1st dollar online!
I would not use article submitters - simply because they take as long to set up and proofread as writing the article in the first place.
Remember, article marketing should be only one of your revenue generators. An important part no less but still only part of the puzzle.
I would definitely follow Magicman's idea of submitting to the top 5 -10 directories only, as these are the directories that tend to get visited the most.
I have a method that I use that elaborates on Magic's method below in that I write each sentence of my articles on separate lines (leaving a line between each sentence); that way I can rewrite each sentence but still keep the sense of each paragraph. It is a little laborious but it does work.
I hope that is of some help. If you need anything else just shout out.
Cheers
val

I tend to write a lot of articles, and consider it a hobby more than anything. But I want to share a couple of things (another 2 cents). I don't know about most of you but I can tell most of the time when an article is 'machine' written or has been submitted unpersonalized. I have a tendency to ignore the article but not in its' entireity, however, I rarely comment on those articles Why? It's a machine, and surely it is not going to read and understand my comment(s). Even though, I still scan for tidbits as I call them that may help in my 'need more input' learning curve. Machines do seem to acquire a great list of information, but they are in my opinion unable to assimilate that information well. Readability. That is were a human comes in. I have noticed that an article that is written by an author who is confident about the subject written on (it's a lead grabber), cares about its' presentation (personal style), and gives it their personal attention (commited love), gets a better following (my own experience). And that includes the way the aurthor submits the articles. By maintaining a smaller number of submissions one is more apt to update as needed, respond to comments, and build a personal bond with all it's readers. So , my summary... stay away from 'machine' article submitters and writers. Put your heart into it and you will get more out of it as will your readers!

Hi Kelly,
I for one have purchased the software and used it a few times, because honestly I totally suck at Article writing, so I suspose for someone who is not so great with article writing its a great piece of software for creating lets say for example ( 60 ) different articles from just ( 1 ) article. So in that sense its a great time saver, but in my opinion there is no software out there that can produce an article like your very own homemade article. ( Again just my opinion ) :)
Hope this helps

"I totally suck at Article writing" Why don't you outsource it? Regards.

Thanks, everyone - for your replies and suggestions. I'm going to be evaluating them and seeing what works best.
Side note - Just found out today that hubby's department is going to be totally laid off in 90 days. Gotta get some more income coming in from my online presence. So I'll be here often. Thankfully, we will have severance. He's been with the company for 10 years. Things are tough.

I have to admit y'all that I use an article spinner or whatever they're called. Not for material that will be submitted of course, but I have gotten some pretty good ideas in moments of writer's block. I have a very strange sense of humor and I just bust a gut at what these things sometimes put out. Call it a sick hobby of sorts. Hey, it's a good boredom buster! ~Karen Your Go to Gal

To chime on the article rewriter (spinner) theme: I just started using The Best Spinner ( http://www.thebestspinner.com not an affiliate link; honest!) after testing out many alternatives, and I'm liking it. The program identifies synonyms in the copy. As you mouse over each one, or phrase, a popup box shows you a list of possible substitute word/phrases that have been used by every other user of the program. You can choose to insert as many of these words/phrases as you like, or add your own. The program you run on your PC is just a front-end to an online database of words/phrases. You can also spin entire sentences, and add "tokens" for special cases. Once you've chosen all the synonyms you want, you "spin" the copy once or 100 times for unique versions. Since you've chosen the substitutes, you can ensure the copy makes sense and doesn't appear machine-generated, because, it's really not. The program had an introductory price of $47 per year. Regular price, I believe, is $84/year. The intro price, if you can still get it, is good each year. I consider this practice to be not much different than writing different versions of an article for different publications. I'm just getting into article marketing, but I'll probably take it a step further and use the programs conditional processing to mix in entirely new paragraphs of new copy, to keep each article very unique. In this case, for someone like me for whom time is precious, I can use PLR content as basic research, add some thoughts, and write a mostly new article. I've worked with professional editors who did less for magazines and were considered excellent writers! My $.02. gary

Oh, I see we're back on the "cents" thing again! Veena, I agree, I bet there's a whole lotta cents in here...enough to make some big bucks! Kelly, I too am sorry to learn about your new situation because of your husband's pending unemployment. I don't use an article spinner, although I did purchase one a couple of years ago. I probably ought to see where I put that thing. It was not exactly easy to understand...well, okay, I didn't take much time to try to figure it out. The end article really was "way out there." Maybe that's why I didn't pursue learning how to use it. Karen

Okay, I'll add my 2 cents as well (does that make it a dollar yet?) I'm not much into traditional article marketing, so never got into the "spinner" software that takes a single article and spits out hundreds of versions. That being said, I've been on the lookout for years for an article re-writer because it takes me forever to rewrite plr articles for my blogs, lenses, for resale, etc. At top speed I can maybe do 2-4 an hour. Like Gary, I've been working with The Best Spinner and I have to say it is the best way I've seen to quickly rewrite plr content. Sure, it's a "spinner" but I only use it to rewrite plr articles to be unique, one article in one article out. The thing I like the most is the user-built synonym database feature, because I can load the article in, click a couple of buttons, go work on something else, check back in a few minutes and the software has gone thru the article and replaced a high percentage of the words with synonym choices from the database. Then all I have to do is read the article, pick which synonyms I want to use, save it and move on the the next article. Super easy, IMHO. Tamara
