I'm loving all the products that Mark is providing for us here at RRW, esp as Gold Members. But....when it comes to setting up the sales pages to then sell these products ourselves, I'm seeing lots of saturation on the Internet. There are a lot of people selling the same things.

I suppose one way around this is to edit and re-purpose the PLR packages - reformat, edit, new graphics, etc. But what about the MRR or RR stuff?

Ideas? Successes?

One of the tips I like is from Mark's online university:

if you don't have time to re-edit and make your offering unique, and your main sales page is pretty much the  same as everyone else's then you can try and be the seller with the most bling.
(ie, give more free bonus's then the next guy or gal selling the exact same thing) .. give til it hurts
or
be the only one to offer a mini e-course, and maybe an expert interview to go along with your package,  or be the only one to offer it on a CD, or something like that.

Easier said then done, I know.  Just a few of many options. Hope that helps,

I know it takes some time, but I'm a real believer in editing and repackaging.  For example, there's an e-book out there about saving gas or increasing your gas mileage.  I've seen it many times.  Along with that content, I've pulled some public domain government material and a great case study that can be summarized that proves the tips work.

My idea is to mix the 3 material sources together with a new title and e-cover.  (I've already designed one for content that didn't have one that came out OK - maybe not A+++, but a solid B.  IMHO.)  BTW, I'm not really a designer, but again I used free tools available on the net - GIMP and a free e-cover script - to put it together. 

Anyhow, I think if you can put in a little time and energy, it's worthwhile to end up with your own product and identity.  Best of luck to you.  -- MM

And as far as how good you are with GIMP...I'd say a solid B is perfect. For starters. And you'll only get better as you go along.

Besides a B to you might be an A to someone else--who is really a C "herself"...like moi!

Just got back to this part of the forum and re-read your comments.  Thank you very much.  I do find it hard to believe that "moi" may have a "C" effort anywhere! 

Anyway, I'm just real stubborn.  When I used to work on sales sheets, I could easily take 8 straight hours to rearrange the elements to get the effect I wanted.  I call it "playing with crayons."  I plan to do a little work on the gas mileage product this weekend.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Wanted to "bump" this thread - and see if anyone else had any tips, ideas, success stories on taking products here at RRW and doing something with them, other than letting them collect on your hard drive. :-)

I think Magicman's got the right formula. By adding extra value to a "special edition" not available elsewhere, you make your product much more interesting.

But as a graphic designer, my addition to his excellent advice would be: create a compelling "brand" for the new product. A new logo, new graphics throughout, and a clear organization for the interior of the publications, and a new website header (at least). This will also set your product apart from all the others in a spectacular way -- in editorial content and appearance.

If you're not handy at design or with design tools, places such as elance.com, guru.com and odesk.com offer providers who can do the work, usually quickly, at a low cost. You must be very detailed in your specifications to such providers in order to get what you want; if you are, such arrangements are usually successful.

(If you need some help with how to create the specifications for such a provider, let me know. I may have a worksheet or two sitting around that might be helpful.)

The best thing to do with MRR and RR is to FIRST check the licenses to make sure
that they allow for bundling or have other restrictions, and then come up with your
own unique package.

What would be ideal is to add in some of your own unique products.
If you don't have any or don't want to create any yourself, you can outsource this.

Also, rather than just a random mix, maybe center around a niche or certain business
model.

My daughter does that to me all the time. She's 4th year at the Art Institute in Video Game Design, and what she does with that complicated animation and rendering software has me going "huh" most of the time.

I'm too old to be dealing with graphics that don't stay in one place....
