Do Video/Audio PLR Realy Worth It?
« on: October 20, 2008, 08:20:57 AM »
I mean how far can you go in claiming the ownership of another
person's voice/image?

Got what I mean?

Or is there a way around that

Mix them up

If you get hold of audio or video PLR then, to give them your own 'spin' you can mix them (similar to DJs mixing other people's songs). You will still have to credit the original author but the mix is your own property.

If you don't do that then the only way is to take the material and put your own 'voice' on it.
With audio.. write down the script, rewrite it in your own words and then record it yourself.
With video.. take individual scenes and create a powerpoint slide show with them..combine the visual scenes with text slides and you have your unique product.

Obviously reworking PLR audio and video is a lot more hassle than reworking articles but it could be a very good traffic generation tool or even a good product to sell to your list.

Hope that helps

I think this is my first post here.
Anyway, when you sell it just mention that someone else made the videos and your just an affiliate.
Besides, according to the ftc,you have to disclose that your an affiliate or your making sales anyway.

Or dont say anything at all.

:welcome: to our forum and thanks for your posting.

One point of concern with your comment,

Or dont say anything at all.

I would not recommend that course of action.

Hi pcpupil,

And Welcome to RRW.

Thank you for your input re: being an affiliate for videos (and other products, too).

It's good to have a reminder about the FTC in relationship to Affiliates.

I do think Jim has a good idea in response to your suggestion to maybe "not saying anything at all."

If it's good quality PLR then they won't mention their own name, product or website during the recording.  It will just be straight content which you can then customize if you want.  As far as the voice issue, you can say they were recorded using a professional voice over artist (or something along those lines) to get around it.
