Working on that one.  I also need to do a short tutorial on how to brand the software.

Hi Jerome.

Nice job on the package. It does look awesome!

There are two concerns that came up for me, and probably will for many others here.

One is that because it is software, it is an exe file that people will definitely hesitate to unzip. Being an exe file their computers will immediately isolate the file, and ask if people want to download a possible threat. Most will abort at this point and that could be a definite challenge with software downloads.

And two,  is that the videos you have linked to, are public Youtube video pages that have all kinds of related links on them. The problems that could arise here, are that there is a lot of possibility of "leakage" or distracting links that could lose the prospects before they finish the package. One solid principle of successful affiliate marketing is to send your visitors to pages where the links off the page, are restricting your prospects to the path you want them to take...

Any thoughts on how we can get past these challenges?

Al

Funny thing is you can actually sell this software (its is a good tutorial on plr), build your list (when the registration is enabled) AND get a recurring affiliate commission(RRW)!  I need to make a little video for it.  Showing what it does and how to rebrand it (yep made a rebrandable version) makes it alot easier to crank copies out!

In the mean time...here is the branded version http://dl.dropbox.com/u/90222659/RRW/plrtoolkit.zip play around with it.   Tell me what you think.

Thanks Al!  :I'm Not Worthy:

Me and 2 business partners have made 4 figures in income selling 100 software titles EXACTLY like this in 5 wsos(I have given out 4 figures in affiliate commissions).  In addition to that we have built lists and  made affiliate commissions.   I also have a group of mastermind members who have sold software EXACTLY like this as well.

I understand your concerns but the formula we have used has worked so far.

I better get started making software SERIOUSLY i have so much info in here I can use why waste time.  Al  if you want to make it professional you can wrap it in a an actual program that turns it into an installation file. Jerome explains this on the thread where I bought the ez software. The videos are meant to be watched without really going to youtube and a lot of people who will get this file (Depending on where we market it) will not be savy to breaking out of the window.

What I have learned over the last 18 years is that you educate your buyer or "receiver" whomever that may be that this is in SOFTWARE created by a reputable company and that they should not have any security concerns but that "IF" they use a firewall they may need to disable or shut it off temporarily to install the software (this is true of MOST software) I have to authorize most everything I download because of a program I put on windows firewall to let me know whats blocked and whats BAD.

I would not be concerned about the problems on the exe file because we will make sure to "QUIET" concerns.

If you like we could create a pdf that wouild be distributed instead and we can have folks get the software from withpm it (where we can address the issues?) What does everyone think about that?

Jeromes got the experience I'm sure he can let us know how he and andy go about these issues..  Jerome i'm wondering if there are any plans down the road to make the software so that you can't break out of the window?  I'm sure this has come up before do you know?

Ckoch yes you do need to start making software!  I'd like to see you in the mastermind group for iCurator and Software Product Magic owners on skype as well.

Creating a pdf or video showing your customers the installation process is an easy way to reassure them that your product is real.

I have avast on my laptops and any time I want to run an exe file it will do its sandbox pop up if you have the sandbox feature enabled.  You can still run the program, it just requires clicking on the button that says continue program execution.  For some of the more paranoid antivirus programs norton is notorious for being paranoid one of the things that you could do to minimize that particular one is a process of submitting your software to their database.  I'm told that it does take a while for the verification process (I've personally never done it).

Also I have made the videos unlisted on youtube now and when you do view the videos you shouldnt see the related videos pop up at the end of the video.

There arent any current plans to update iCurator to disable the view on youtube function.  No one has ever asked about disabling it.

Ok.  I have listened to everyone's questions and I created 3 versions of the software.  WINDOWS ONLY!  Here are the download links to the demo version of each.

zip version http://dl.dropbox.com/u/90222659/RRW/plrtoolkit.zip
executable version http://dl.dropbox.com/u/90222659/RRW/plrtoolkit.exe
installer version http://dl.dropbox.com/u/90222659/RRW/plrtoolkit%20installer.exe

If you would like software branded with your own information, send me a pm and I will give you the details from there.

Do you have a skype group for EZ Software Maker Pro?  (I think that one is yours -- my apologies if I'm confused.)

I'm working my way into creating software, so I'm trying to start slow and work my way up. Certainly could use a group to learn from. The best learning tools I've ever gotten for free or paid for were masterminds & memberships (usually on skype) where people could help each other and bounce ideas off each other.

Thanks!

Andy hasnt decided if he wants owners of EZ Software Maker to be included in that mastermind group.  The jury is still out on that one.  He's also working on a forum inside the membership site.  That way he wont have to deal with spammers or DNS attacks like what happened to his open forum.  At the moment if you have any questions just hit me up on skype smilin_j is my name there.

Is there per chance any recourse for nudging free members into upgrading to Gold?

I have a few referrals but they're from links scattered about (no list) so of course I can't contact them or anything.
