I'm not familiar with all the programs you've mentioned, but I can tell you what I have found to be successful so far (I'm new to Chromebook).

FlixExpress - for cool opens and closes to videos. Mark Butts in our group here put me on to it.
*Screencastify or Screencast-o-matic for screen capture.
These can also be used to make videos from presentation software (Google Docs, etc.)
VideoRobot - for various kinds of videos (got it on a launch special)
*ClipChamp is a new (in Beta) web-based video editor. Looks good so far.

*apps available for chromebook/Chrome browser in the Google Chrome store.

Hope these tips help. - Magicman

Welcome to the forum Jasin.

I'm not familiar with chromebooks but Magicman is right about looking into using chrome extensions.  Video Robot is still inexpensive (I got it and several of the upsell during the initial launch)  I checked their sales pages yesterday so I know what the price is.

As far as video editing is concerned and your limited budget, what kind of editing are you planning on doing?  What exactly is your budget?

Chromebooks are simply laptops with an OS (operating system) designed by Google based on the Linux kernel that uses the Google Chrome web browser as its principal user interface.

Therefore most tools and apps that run on any version of Linux should be useable on a Chromebook.

Thanks.. for the recommendations... magicman, john, jerome  I will check em out..

as for my budget Jerome.. well I dont have enough to buy a new laptop so I am trying to make due with a chromebook.. I dont miss windows problems at all.. other than  not being able to have programs like camtasia.. I want to edit full length video.. I also have videorobot.. but the clip length limit is like 9 minutes with all the upgrades.  I am looking for an html editor like compozer for chrome... I am still new to plr so I am trying to figure out what will work with marketing needs and product creation. i am looking at  instasuite and builderall ... right now.. free options would be great though..  I came across wevideo and animoto..  just looking to see if anyone else has any more ideas.. that can chime in.

Just a quick note - I used a site called Clipchamp to do some online editing of videos. Worked pretty well. It's in beta but did what I wanted. Hope it's useful to you all. - MM
