$30,000 Challenge Product
« on: July 21, 2012, 02:35:46 PM »
Ok, friends, I have decided to get really serious about going to the Philippines as a missionary and I need $30,000 to do it.  I am going to give away an expensive product that I either create myself or have the rights to it for only a $1.33 donation (Paypal will take away about $0.33).  So I need to get this in the hands of 30,000 people, which I know sounds crazy, but I want it to be affordable to all.  My question is:  what do you think would be a good product for me to sell for only $1.33 that people will want to buy?  Thanks for your help!

God bless you,
Mark

Hi Mark. What's your time frame for this?

In this case, I would think about trading it for their email address (squeeze), and promote products to your growing list and shoot for 30,000 on your email list. Or, you could promote your product for $1.33 and allow larger donations commensurate with your visitors' perceived value. (Paul Myers used the well known "Buy me a Beer", and accepted donations as people felt the information was worth to them.)

Personally, I would promote a video training product as they have a higher perceived value, and they lean towards exact "how to" info that people crave. Can I assume that you are meaning the "internet marketing" niche?

Great to see that you have set that goal. There are many ways you can get there, especially with all the resources here at RRW.

Tell us more . . .

Al

Al, my time frame for the Philippines is the end of the year.  But I may need to move sooner than that as my job may be downsized in the near future.  I am going to do a product that isn't here at RRW because I don't want to compete with Mark and my compadres (plus, I also hope that you guys will want to buy and help me out!  ;D )  I have been thinking of video because the perceived value of video is greater than a written format.  Or, I may write something and have it converted into an audio and a video.  Thanks for your input and any additional help you can give me.

God bless you,
Mark

Creating a totally new product can suck up a lot of that time if you don't already have one going.

RRW has so many text and audio products that can be revised into different formats that total originality will be simple. As far as competing, that is what we do every day. Don't even worry about it.

There are billions of prospects out there and some will want to hear from you, no one else. Your focus has to be on arriving at your goal in less than 5 months and that is a tall order especially if you place conditions on it. $30,000 in 150 days or under. Doable, but much work is involved.

I have no doubt that we here will help you every way we can, but even still, you have no time to lose. The best way to go after this, IMHO of course, is to adapt a product from RRW and add some great bonuses, again from RRW, to make an original compilation of info products.

Put up the sales page, download page, and upload with your products to your server, and you will be able to start promoting right away. That is where the rubber meets the road, getting the word out.

Please don't take this advice the wrong way, it is just my thinking. I would like to help you get there.

Just saying . . .

Al

Thanks, Al!  I don't necessarily need to reach the $30,000 goal by the end of the year, but at least be able to work at home and not at a 7:30-6:00 pm office job.  I am just giving myself some sort of deadline to motivate myself.  I really do hope to enlist others to help me reach many virally.

God bless,
Mark

Wow Mark - talk about a difficult question to answer!

My idea would be for you to build a mailing list 1st - using Twitter and Facebook to generate the leads.

Give away a simple-ish but valued report and then use that list to sell your ultra-low product.

Be careful about offering extreme price cuts though - people may perceive that the product is only worth $1.33 rather than the $77 it might cost - best way around that is to tell your list why you're offering this product at such a low price - basically ASK them to help you out.

OK - so that's my plan - next question is getting hold of 30,000 subscribers/buyers!

Right - you've got to socialize like c-c-crazy! Twitter would lend itself to getting massive number of followers quickly; however, you're going to have to be more followable than Justin Bieber!

Now, as to product.... hmmmm   (I actually caught myself doing this! Talk about living life through a Smiley!)

$1.33 price point would lend itself to a Kindle publishment, a mobile app or perhaps a Wordpress template.

OK - so what sort of things are 30,000 people interested in???

Well, I've just used the following search string in Google:
site:ezinearticles.com  "Submitted On * *, 2012" "viewed 10000..100000 times" and it returned 6 results:
  • Will Facebook Really Generate Leads? - published on 01/17 viewed 12713 times
  • How to Quickly and Easily Deal With Rude People - published on 03/05 viewed 29080 times
  • Dealing With Negative People Made Easy - published on 03/05 viewed 12582 times
  • Structured Settlements - Questioning Your Cash Options - published 01/30 viewed 94710 times (??)
  • Panasonic 2012 Plasma TV Series - published 01/30 viewed 18829 times
  • How to Kill Fear When Dealing With Aggressive People - published 03/05 viewed 10218 times

It would appear that 'dealing with people' is a 'hot' topic - but all of those articles were written by the same person so it would be a good idea to have a look at his resource box to find out what he's pushing.

'Dealing with people' is something that you, in your role in your church, might undertake almost daily - so do you have steps you take in sorting out conflict?

Hope that helps

Val

Hi Mark. Dom has some great suggestions in his post there.

Great marketing report here in the forum. - http://resell-rights-weekly.com/forum/niche-marketing-reports/niche-research-basics/msg41729/

Some other websites that you can research for "hot" and "best" sellers are: Magazines.com, Dummies.com, Amazon.com, Clickbank.com, 43things.com, Flippa.com.

Offline you can look at magazine racks, newspaper ads, home shopping channel, paid infomercials, tv guides, etc.

If you are a RRW Gold Member, have a look at the Goldmine # 149  - NCIS - second video is awesome as it shows how to research markets and products

That should get you started until someone else comes up with more . . .

Hi Mark!

Try this...

Grab the Pinterest items from the Gold Membership.
Put together an ebook/package or whatever and a report to promote it.

Give a few copies away on WF in the War Room for reviews--continually give the report away anywhere you can. Some good ways are like "Pay With a Tweet" and things like that.

Try all of these options for getting the ebook sold: PayPal straight to you, JVZoo with a high commission rate, and I highly recommend TrialPay http://www.trialpay.com/

You'll be signing up as an affiliate for various high-paying CPA offers which will get you far more than you could likely charge for the ebook outright. Some of the offers are no CC required so it should be easy as all get out to "give away" a lot of copies just for the price of signing up for a free offer.

Hit the Mom, Women, CRAFTS, Glam, Entertainment News, Fashion, etc. sites slam bam HARD with this.

Success to you no matter which route you take!
