I Have A Confession.....
« on: January 08, 2013, 05:11:18 PM »
My confession is that I'm now 22 years old (as of Jan. 3rd) and a newbie in the internet marketing space.
I set a goal last year in December to go through a Kindle Course and start publishing e-books
and that would be my first online business.

Procrastination has gotten the best of me and I haven't even touched the Kindle Course (I've skimmed through it that's about it!!)
There is no one to blame but myself as I need to have the DRIVE and AMBITION to develop the attitude to change my life and get
in the game with my helmet off! Other words it's time to stop playing it safe and expecting results to fall into my lap.

I'm going to set a new goal to finish the Kindle Course and publish e-books as fast as possible and drive this business straight into
abundance until I get it right, I seriously want to be a writer and feel the writers touch inside of me.

I'm making this confession for the purpose of having it publicly viewed and to get any advice concerning marketing/business as I'm new to the game,
fresh out the play pin and ready to play hardball. I felt as if I had "Shiny Object Syndrome" for a period of time jumping around and being really "UNSURE"
of what I wanted to do but this is definitely it!

Money isn't driving me anymore as that was my goal in the beginning and don't get me wrong, Income is definitely a driving factor but my attitude has shifted
more into helping others get into the Kindle Space that aren't exactly tech savy.

I'm looking for any advice to stay encouraged, focused and keep my eye on the ball! I know we all have businesses and I want you to remember how passionate
you were when you saw something you just knew was your passion and the nights you spent  immersing yourself in the knowledge you wanted to acquire!
Remember that moment for me please! (Take a moment to think about that) and please reach out to me I'm ready and hungry for any help or accountability partners
to keep me focused.

Shoot I'm even open to any mentorship! I'm teachable and ready to learn.

Fresh

What I would suggest is that you put this post up on your Facebook profile - each and every day you make a status update with reference to the course and let your friends and family be your accountability partners.

Now, you may think that this is a bad idea and a number of your friends and family are going to start trying to get you to do somehting else, or say that the course won't work or you won't finish it.

Ignore them and carry on until you complete the course and you can put a link up to your published book on your FB profile. You're going to get a huge amount of respect from friends and you might just find yourself getting more and more friend requests as your course proceeds.

Those friends and new acquaintances could be the beginning of your list of buyers

Staying on track with focus in IM is just about the hardest thing to do. I just finished a 12-13 page report - wrote it in one day and it just about killed me to stay on it.

My advice, when you're working on your money machine - avoid email totally. Set your course and follow it.

Believe me, I know how hard it is. I really liked Dom's suggestion above. Right on. - MM

I am new to this as well and I know that hardly makes me a candidate for offering advice, but I just wanted to say kudos to you for taking this step and wanting accountability for yourself.  I also got caught up in reading everything I could, getting excited about way too many shiny objects and stalling in the only thing that will bring me success = ACTION.  I do agree with the recommendation of not reading emails.  I am on so many lists and my email is bombarded daily and it is daunting and cause me either stress or wasted time reading them all. I had to finally unsubscribe to the ones of no value and stop subscribing to new lists, etc.  It gave me some focus and lifted a weight that I didn't know was there.  All the best to you and much success!
