Hi guys
I have not been very active on the forum of late due to my trying to get my offline business up & running,
I have had some success and some failures & it is the failures that keep me going.

Long story short, I need a kick up the backside! Having no employer to nag at me day after day to get stuff done does not help.
So I have decided to ask you members to be my supervisors and keep an eye on me!

Some might find this journey helpful some of you may be helpful!

Here is the plan! I am going to sell or rent a website to a local business by September 26th 2012
all from scratch and with the lowest expense to me as possible,
and I am going to keep you all updated about the progress and how I do it step by step.

This will have a few outcomes any of the following will happen

(1) It turns out a big failure and will prove I do not know what I am doing!
(2) I will sell or rent the website and begin a new one
(3) If I am successful you as members will know that YOU can also do it
 
Are you in?

The stages will go like his.

I am going to find a town/city in the U.K that has a business competition of at least 30,
those 30 business owners will be my prospective buyers!

I will register a keyword rich domain name
I will build the business website using wordpress
I will get that website on page one of Google for the keyword search term.
I will offer to sell/rent that website to business owners.

And all that by September 26th

So my first step over the next 24 hours is to do my research  and find a business to aim at.
Within 24 hours from this posing, I will let you all know the business I have chosen.

Please understand that although I am doing this in the U.K, I know that it can also be done worldwide!
Ask any questions you like as I go along and I will answer them,
but more importantly I am looking to you the members to give me that kick up the backside I need and urge me on!

I hope I have explained everything, if not then please ask away.

If I'm correct you have done this before, well, most of it. In that case you do not need a kick up the backside, I know you can do it. I also know you can get as far as producing a website. You're next step, get it up and running. Get on with it and keep in touch....good luck mate.

Yes I have sort of done this before but this time I am going to do it different,
I want a monthly income from this one (and many more I hope)

Also I am going to do it step-by-step with screen shots to show how I do it as it happens,
this way others can follow my steps and I hope do it themselves but I guess no one will try untill 'the proof is in the pudding'

Warrior offers charge you for this information but miss a lot out! I will not!

I will keep nothing back and answer any questions, so if it does work for me....then it will work for anyone who gives it a go.

Research is pretty easy, I will use yellowpages to pick a town or city and a business.
Like "leeds" "plumber" searching for that will give all the plumbers in Leeds I would look for a town/city with over 30
if there are lots more I can narrow them down to "within 5 miles" or so.
I will also be looking to see if these businesses have a website or facebookpage these will help in finding the email addresses of the business owner.
(because I hope to do all this by email)

Just because they already have a website does not mean they will not be interested (is theirs on page one of Google?)

Then looking at Google search results for the term say "leeds plumber" or "plumber in Leeds" will give me an idea of the competition.
Using Googles keyword tool will give me an idea of the monthly searches for the given keyword.

So that part is pretty easy because I am targeting local business.

Have I made that clear? (hope so) just ask if not.

Hey Brian,

That sounds like a good plan and I look forward to see if you achieve your goal by the your deadline.

This was something I was looking into getting into as well amongst achieving passive monthly income and so that's what your working on, keep us posted as your results to finishing and doing your research and finally achieving getting your message across to the customer and finally the close.

Yes a big part of it is from Local Cash Machines some is from Zesh on the warrior forum
but I am using stuff I worked out myself too as I say earlier these people miss a lot out.

I totally agree. The Local Cash machines model is great, but every now and then I came across a gaping ravine!

If you bridge the gaps, you might just have a nice case study that you can make into a product for yourself!

When I researched a similar model I was surprised by how many great domains remain unclaimed!
