OMG ... the list is way too long.
I was very fortunate growing in in a household that appreciated all types of music. My parents were very young when I came to be so exposure to music during the late 50's and early 60's was a transitional time. My Dad was into blues, jazz, rock, and liked to check out emerging bands. Growing up in my house we heard everything from Bing Crosby, The Rat Pack, and Frank Sinatra to The Doors, The Beatles and Chuck Berry.
Personally I'm more of a rocker metal head but give my a Jack & coke with a good jazz band and I'm lovin' life!
Here's one of my fav's because it was the song that I listened to when I launched my independance from the parental units! I was 18 when I finished bootcamp and my training for the military. I took leave after training bought a car and drove from Ohio to my first permanent duty station in California. I had the 8-track all set so as soon as I hit the highway headed west this is what I listened to ...
More to come!
