Rugby World Cup!!
« on: September 28, 2011, 07:24:57 PM »
Hi Folks,

What do you think so far of the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand?? All I'm saying at the moment is, well, nothing. Big game for Scotland on Saturday against the Auld Enemy....England. Not sure if we have a cats hell of a chance of beating the Sassenachs, but we'll have to give it a go. Unlucky against Argentina, in the past it must remain. It should be a good battle on Saturday... C'mon Scotland.

Watching the games this weekend is definitely going to eat into marketing time; but, heck, it's once every 4 years, I.M. is everlasting!

Ignorant as one can be about this, yet I sense this is not such a good sign from your end Donald??

Since there's enough "rubbing-in" going on, I'll just send some salve.  ;D

Hi Folks,

I had forgotten about this post. Haven't been in the forum for ages. Yep, same old, same old. Had their chances against Argentina and England. Should have beaten England, had two very good chances for tries. Once beaten, whether it be soccer, rugby, me, bring on the next game. I was disappointed for the guys, but if you don't take your chances you don't win.

Jim, Dom, that was the worst performance I have seen from England in a long time, the first half against Scotland. They'll have to improve if they want to win the WC. I'm not sure how well France are. Have they no been having problems amongst themselves.

Pity Wales and Ireland are playing each other, by all accounts, they have been playing tremendous rugby. At least I don't have to get up early this Saturday...lol.

Jim,

Just realised this weekend, Euro 2012 Qualifiers. Could be out of two tournaments in less than a fortnight. But, Hey...lets hope....we have to beat Liechstenstein on Sat, (very close when they came to Hampden) and hope Spain dump Czech Republic. Tuesday, we play Spain, in Spain. Have to beat them....do we have a chance. What keeps that alive is we beat France twice in 2007 for Euro 2008 and still didn't qualify...glorious failure...

I completely agree with Jim; Donald you have an excellent attitude about your national teams - Scotland will be Fair some time

Yes, England will have lift themselves into the stratosphere if they are going to get any further in this World Cup.

To think that we were the 'mother' of most of the sports played worldwide and we are mostly atrocious at all of them nowadays
