Wow, what a sad story... definitely causes an attitude adjustment.

I wonder how many of us prejudge someone's story without even knowing we are doing it.

Hi Al,

Honestly, I think it's just part of being human. And I think we all have been on "both sides of that fence."  The story certainly does make ya think, that's for sure.

I know I am one that do judging when I shouldn't as I been there before and know better. I believe that everyone does and if they do they do not realize until way afterwards

Thanks Mark for sharing this heartfelt story - my husband and I have always made it a challenge to get a smile out of as many people as possible throughout the day - that we may have an encounter with. 

This past year was a rough one with health issues and losing my mother - but when you stop and really look around - there's others worse off and sometimes they just need to see a smile.     :sunshine:

Aww - thanks Mark!  We all have our challenges to overcome - makes for a better person!  Being a member of this forum has been AWESOME!  Very informative - helpful - encouraging!  You, Jerome and MagicMan always seem to add some humor and knowledge.....Hopefully down the road I can contribute as well.  Right now just learning.  THANKS everyone!   ::P
