Why so much focus on election
« on: October 11, 2008, 02:41:22 AM »
I know that the election is important but why is there so much focus and who is the better candidate. I think that sometimes you just have to look at what everyone says and make a decision, who cares about the fighting going on.  ;;:B

Ask that to one of our newest members.

I think politics are hyped by media to quite an extent, otherwise how much a common man is interested in all whatever is going on at this front. I personally feel that each and every candidate is the same, same larger than life promises and same approach after they acquire the posts. :( ;)

I am personally on your side! I think that all the candidates are more or less people with the same political program. And I think that media is only make some attempts to put the interests of the people to the election.

choosing the right candidates is very important. the people play a big role in the election. we need to know all of the candidates for us and our country to have a better future.

Mei is right ... choosing the right candidate for president is very important. I have to say that this is the most heated and divisive presidential race that I can remember. Both side are very passionate about their candidate, and both sides really dislike the other parties candidate.

thank you for that Mark. i know some people are not really interested in elections. but then how are we going to help our country if we will not participate and decide who will be the best leader. right? i think we really need a lot of time to choose the best candidates.

I know it is important to participate but I have observed and seen all these years that there is no much difference in the working of any parties. I am not talking about extreme cases, I am trying to generalize.

yes, i agree with sanju. i think some people does not really want to participate because they don't see the positive effect or the benefits in participating. as for me, i although i never want to participate anymore because the situations are still the same and getting worse, but i believe that i can be one of the people who can make a change through having wise decisions regarding this.

Hi Guys,

This may sound a bit pessimistic ... but I don't mean it that way.  8)

I once heard someone say that anything made by mankind will eventually break and anything run by mankind will eventually get messed up. I would say that summarizes politics fairly well.  ;D
