Build an Information Product Empire

Build an Information Product Empire

Why play around with affiliate marketing when you could be earning thousands a month or a week using information products? Most of the top earners you hear about today online got to where they are thanks to information product empires that they have built using Internet marketing techniques.

These successful entrepreneurs know that there comes a point where if you want to make the mega money you have to start working harder or smarter. If you have to start working hard as an affiliate, that kind of defeats the object of being an affiliate! So, why not be a super lazy and successful info product marketer and let all the affiliates do all the hard stuff?

I first became aware of the benefits of having your own information products after I read a forum post on one of the many Webmaster forums. The post described how one simple product had been pulling in a new marketer two thousand dollars a month.

Now, if we’re honest, that’s no amount of money to live off comfortably, but the guy put in such little effort to make the two grand a month. And since he knew how to make a two thousand dollar a month income with one product and one simple strategy, all he needed to do was duplicate that process over and over again. That was when I began to understand the true power of owning your own information product empire. One of the major benefits of owning your own products is, that if your product sells, converts well, and you can attract affiliates then you don’t need to worry about traffic campaigns. No need to hire article marketers, and no need to spend
thousands of dollars on PPC advertising costs. All you have to do is post the right information in the right places and affiliates from all
around the world will take care of it all for you.

With so many affiliate networks available as well, it has never been so easy to do. The best part is, even if you know nothing about a niche, as long as you have a few dollars to spend, you can pay other people to write and create the information product for you. Just post your project on one of the many freelancer websites out there on the web today!

Or if you have a little less money, look for private label rights products as you can find at RRW and change them around, add some new features and sell it as an ebook. It is minimal time and money investment for potential high returns. The best part of all of this is, if you set up a website with an income of around two thousand dollars a month selling an information product, if you want to generate fast cash you can sell your website on a website auction site, and potentially make twenty thousand dollars for a few hours work, and a minimal financial investment. People have been doing this for years, and no wonder, the potential is huge. So if you are tired of minimal returns in affiliate marketing, or if you have decided it is time to work smarter and not harder, then consider setting up your own information product empire today.

5 Ways to Create Killer Info Products: Part 1

This two part article series is going to get into the nuts and bolts of creating your own niche information products quickly and for
nearly zero money down. If you are looking to make hands off passive income online, then creating your own information products is going to be a necessary skill. We can’t all afford Ghostwriters to make our products for us, and some times, some of us can’t even write to well. This article has the solution to all those problems.

Method 1.

If you struggle to find inspiration when it comes to writing one of the quickest ways to find that inspiration and to structure a product is to a “private label rights” product and edit it. When doing this, make sure the rights you buy a long with the product allow to alter the product, and put your own name and brand on the front cover and website. Make sure you don’t copy any part of it word for word, and instead simply follow the structure of the product and write it in your own words. After a little time and research, you might find you have something new to add to the product as well. If you do all the better, add it and improve on it. I know many marketers who find PLR products very useful when it comes to finding templates for structuring a successful information product.

Method 2.

Again, this involves using PLR to help you structure a product. It is usually better if it is in the form of an ebook, with designated
chapters and sections. All you do then is to create a video for each section. It can either be a screen capture video, or a video of you
demonstrating something.

For example if it is a product in the health and fitness niche, you might give a demonstration of the exercises described in the ebook, or you might show people how to make some of the meals from the diet plan in the product. Alternatively, you may just create PowerPoint slideshows, and then capture them with a program such as Camtasisa. I have even seen people reading out ebooks and information products and offering it as bonus audio or as an up sell after the product has been sold.  It can really be that simple.

Method 3.

Find experts in your industry and interview them for an audio product or subscription podcast. You may some times have to pay them, or a commission for this, and you should always be upfront about what you are doing. Interviewing a few experts in your market or industry can create a killer info product, or a really enticing bonus. People absolutely love listening to this kind of stuff on their ipods, Mp3 players and other gadgets. Tap into that gadget culture and produce some killer audio!

The next two methods are absolutely killer ways of creating information products, and are not always obvious to a lot of marketers. You can learn all about them in part 2 of this article.

Coming soon.......

Best

Jim

Hi Stew

Not quite as easy as that I'm afraid.  :'(

Let me say that I have the personal PLR for this article. Which I have, and I thought the contents were worth sharing.

Which I did, and shared them with this great forum. Which I have.

Now it gets interesting.

Because I have the personal PLR for this report, I can make any number of alterations to it, and which I have, for the important reasons

discussed elsewhere in the forum.

So anybody who has the personal rights can change the report as much as they want.  8) ;)

If you do not have plr rights you cannot.

Hope I have cleared this point up.

You could of course have been talking 'tongue in cheek' and if you were I apologise for this reply.

Best

Jim

5 Ways to Create Killer Info Products: Part 2

In “part 1” of this mini-two-part article series we looked at three really quick and easy ways to develop information products on a budget. The methods were fast and cheap, and capable of delivering high returns. The next two methods take these techniques to the next level. Use these two methods below if you literally want to step your game up in your information product empire.

Method 4.

Membership websites.

People are always buying magazines, paying some times large subscriptions to receive a magazine in the post every month, brimming with new and interesting content. This same business model can be applied to the Internet and often is. Imagine having a thousand people paying you twenty dollars a month. If you take a second to do the maths, that’s twenty thousand dollars a month and one-hundred and forty thousand dollars a year. Just from one membership site product! It is incredible. You can upload reports, videos, audio and edited and updated PLR content every month. You can also add a forum in the member’s area so people are able ton chat and talk about industry news etc.

They are providing free content all the time they are chatting and using your forum! It is an incredible and simply powerful way of generating money from information products. This business model draws on all the other methods described in these articles to really ramp up your income levels.

Method 5.

This is less of a way of creating an info product, and more of a way to profit from the info products you already have in your possession. If you think about it, all the above methods could pull you some serious cash in a matter of months. You could make a serious living by combining all the methods. But if you are looking to get a big payday in the very near future, or you just need or want a windfall of cash now, then this method will help you profit wildly using all of the above techniques.

The secret is to build an empire of information products with the tactics and methods discussed in these two articles. Build yourself a mini-empire and then sell it on. Sell it even in pieces, or sell it all together. In truth, you may find selling a membership site like the one described may earn you more money from a sale.

Selling parts of your business off successfully could see your bank account loaded with cash in a very short amount of time. It is all about profiting from the work you have already done. Work smarter, never harder.

3 Killer Secrets To Marketing Info Products

Info products are a fantastic way to generate some serious income online. The only thing that makes that possible is the marketing that goes with the creation of those info products. There are literally hundreds and thousands of techniques to marketing an online info product, but this article cuts away the fat, and gives you some of the leanest and best techniques for promoting your info products.

Secret 1.

Joint venturing is a hugely successful tactic if you get it right. Finding people and experts in your market who already have websites and email lists. The idea is to promote to their list. You need to offer them something of real value besides money to make this possible. You should always be very professional when contacting these people, and it may even pay to buy a product of theirs to get a feel for who they are and what they do. It is especially difficult for them to turn down a paying customer of theirs, especially if what that paying customer has is good and is going to make them a good amount of money. Offer them free content, offer them email support assistance or offer them money. Find out what it is they need/want, and then give it to them. Once you have done that, you are in a much better position to offer them a joint venture opportunity.

Secret 2.

Recruit an army of affiliates. Make sure you have a good-looking sales page, and make sure the copy is converting well. Find out what your page is converting at and tell affiliates. If it looks professional and converts well, affiliates will promote it. If an affiliate contacts you directly about your product, give them a preview to your product or give them a review copy. Treat your affiliates well and offer them some good commissions. Usually 75% of sales is a good way of enticing affiliate interest in your offer.

Find out which forums affiliates hang out in (particularly those in your niche) and place an ad there, or go and take part in discussions with them. Brand yourself as a trust worthy business like person and they will be more likely to want to promote your product.

Secret 3.

This method is not so much of secret, but it is a tactic that can seriously boost your chances of making sales. It is called a product launch. A product launch involves recruiting Joint Venture partners, affiliates and creating a buzz in your market about your product, so when it comes to the day your product launches your customers are sat waiting on your website with their credit card in hand ready to buy your product. To create that buzz, you can launch free promotional videos and materials that give away some killer content, and thus helping prove that you are some one worth listening to.

This will promote trust and confidence in your potential customers, who will be very keen to buy your product if you pull this off right. Use these three top methods for promoting your info products and you can be earning a life-changing amount of money in the near future. The tactics described above are used by some of the biggest Internet marketers again, and those guys are worth listening to. If you want to get ahead, it is all about watching what successful people do, and replicating their techniques to the best of your ability.

Making Your First Information Product

This article looks at some quick and simple ways to make your first information product. Thinking up a structure and the content for a product can be very time-consuming and difficult, especially if you are new at it. This article gives you a few helpful hints to explode your productivity, and help you make your first information product a profitable one.

Let us assume you have a market in mind that you would like to create a product for. Lets also assume that is all you have decided for this information product project. Ultimately, to get people to pay for your product it is going to have to fulfil a specific need or requirement. Generalised, large, rambling products are very rarely winners unless produced by a very well known name in the industry who adds a lot of detail to the product.

Until you are that well known name the best route to take is finding a problem, and solving it. People will pay others to solve their problems, and they will pay today if it means that problem will be solved in a reasonable amount of time. What you must do as an Internet marketer is your keyword research. Look at what people are looking up and try to gauge from your research what problems people are having. Compliment these efforts by hanging out in related forums and finding out what issues and problems people are having.

These questions they are asking, and these problems they are having will help you create your product. Look at how similar products are set out in your market. Are they ebooks, videos, and membership sites? Look at the successful business and product models and duplicate them. Never directly copy them, but look at the product formats that people respond to best in your chosen market, and deliver your product in the same or similar format.

Another way to discover topics for your product is to look at the articles being written on the subject in ezine directories. If people are writing about them, chances are people are interested in them. Perhaps some of the articles will give you fresh inspiration for a new chapter in your ebook, or may inspire you to make a small video on the subject, and offer it as a bonus.

Finding out what is important in your niche market is crucial in building successful information products. Finding out how your market wants that information delivered can give you a huge advantage over your competitors and people who have not researched the market properly. Remember to always over-deliver and try and source content for your products from authority websites and resources. Never underestimate the valuable resources available to you in your local library either.

Enjoy

Bravo, Jim, for a killer article. In your reply to someone where you 'fessed up to having used a PLR article, you said you had "personal" rights. Then you said you could use it or change it any way you wished.

Someone (Mark?) correct me if I'm wrong, but in the PUO rights I've looked at, they specify no alteration, no putting your own name on it, etc. So now I'm thoroughly confused. Are personal rights different than Personal Use Only rights?

And while I've got someone's (Mark's) attention, when products are denoted as conveying Resale Rights, is that the same as Master Resale Rights? I realize that we have to read the rights explanations for each product, but I've been trying to group my downloads by rights and it's starting to become a bit dicey.

Deb

I believe Jim said he had 'personal PLR' - ie. he (and possibly him only) has PLR rights to this material. PUO rights ie. Personal Use Only as you state are available for someone's use without alteration.

I hope that helps somewhere and that your ranking by rights goes smoothly.

...when products are denoted as conveying Resale Rights, is that the same as Master Resale Rights?

Hi Deb,

I see Dom had already answered the first part of your question (ty Dom!) so I'll address the latter part.

No, Resale Rights & Master Resale Rights are not the same.  When you purchase a product with MRR you have the right to sell that product and you also have the right to pass on resale rights. So you have the right to sale that product and your customer has the right to resale it too (if you choose to pass on that right to them).

With RR you have the right to sell that product but you do not have the right to pass on resale rights. So you have the right to resale that product but your customer does not.

I hope that helps!

Mark

Thanks as there always confusion on rights. Then people will throw on other things and make it more confusing. Thanks  for helping clear it up
