Accordian FAQ Generator
« on: December 10, 2014, 09:07:24 AM »
I was very interested when I saw this product in the Gold Member area, so I downloaded it and gave it a try. Unfortunately, even with all the nice graphics in the sales page and a very attractive instruction manual, the generator does not work (at least not for me). I find a lot of code examples online on how to do this, but it would be nice to have a generator for those with little to no HTML experience.

The saving grace, was it was quite simple to copy the source code from the demo and edit it with free software to get a working product (with a couple of bugs fixed). The end result was a nicer looking page that would be simple for anyone at any level to edit, so I plan to do a video showing my method and add the source code for them to edit to the zip file. The rights say we can do anything we want with the product except give it away, so that sounds like my plan is legitimate.

Thanks for the tool Mark.

Thanks for the heads-up on this. Where you getting an error message or what was happening?

When you say the generator doesnt work for you what exactly do you mean?

Not sure what happened with your attempt but it worked just fine for me.   The software ran fine and gave me a text file with the html code in it.  Here's the page I created using it:

Who is Snginc aka Smiley aka Jerome?

Now I did find 1 flaw.   The text color for the answer box defaults to black.

I figured it out when I realized someone else here made it work. I put the code in a file and tried to run it as html, but I needed to make it a text file and copy the code like the instructions said to. When all else fails, read the manual AGAIN.

I did discover that one host I use a lot wouldn't open the accordions, but I will take that up with them.

Thanks for the help.
