Screen Capture - Free
« on: December 09, 2015, 04:50:05 AM »
Hello everyone,

I was wondering what others use to do their screen captures?    Do you just use the very limited one that comes with Windows or do you use a 3rd party product? I have found that Faststone Capture is a really robust & full featured screen capturing software. It can be found at http://www.faststone.org This site offers other graphic type software and the best part about the site is that everything is free without any added forced software that usually is at least spyware.

The other great thing  ;C about Faststone Capture is that offers you to chance to make quick videos and the movie creator is very full featured for what it does.

I sure hope this helps someone. Thank you for your valued time.

There are several free screen capture programs I like and recommend to others

Screen Cap Studio www.screencapstudio.com

EZvid www.ezvid.com

Both come with great training videos so you learn how to use to the software and how to make money with them.

Great options folks ... I used to just use the screen capture in windows then edit the capture in Gimp. However, I found Jing to be much easier and took out quite a few additional steps to that method.

I have tried Jing but in comparison faststone capture far out does Jing. Everyone uses different software to accomplish tasks. I would encourage you to at least take a look at faststone capture. Jing does not have all the bells & whistles that faststone capture has. It might just surprise you. I will of course take a look at the ones that was suggested. I like to stay open to change.

Hi Snginc,

Screen Cap Studio looks pretty good, can you import videos from your phone/camera into the software and edit them.

If taking videos on my phone/camera I might like to edit out any background noise from the audio.

Cheers
Alan

Yes you can import any video files into the software from your system .  I'm not sure how robust the editing features are for noise reduction.
