Squeeze Page Review Request
« on: March 18, 2015, 08:45:03 PM »
Hi guys and gals,

I was hoping I could get some feedback on a squeeze page I'm working on.

This is for an offline business that I own. I'm really trying to separate myself from my competition (none of whom have a clue about the online world - they all use a shotgun approach).

What would you change if it was yours? Do you have any earth-shattering ideas that I haven't thought of (except video - that's in the works)?

Thanks very much in advance,

Cheers,

Ron

Hey Ron,

I really admire your initiative. You've got some great ideas! I apologize in advance for not feeling 100% positive about the effort so far.

My feeling is the squeeze page is too far down the decision line and asks for too much of a leap. It's not really a squeeze page...it's a contact us and give us a bunch of information page.

You're shooting for a small percentage of people who know they need a furnace now and you're in the mix with all the other companies.

I'd prefer to see maybe an information product like - "5 Clear Signs Your Heating/Cooling System May Die On You Soon!" or "Warning Signs of a Dying Furnace1"

And it would be great to get it in consumers hands much earlier in the buying cycle.

Technically, the page looks fine to me (although it seemed a little slow to load).

The page and website look very anonymous. Not associated with any firm. I was looking for some reviews and credibility information - as well as a business address - to justify the big leap to a call to you. Didn't find it. If you're with Reliance Holmes, you've got to point people to the HomeStar Reviews. (The Google reviews are awful - as you probably know.)

On the larger picture - I'd get some personal recommendations for your own publicity. Maybe beef up a LinkedIn page?????

I'm kinda at a loss now. I believe the issues/questions you face are bigger than just a squeeze page, but I've also gone beyond the scope of your original request. I'm sorry. I tend to look at an overall situation instead of one element in a vacuum. I hope this is some help as a thought starter.

Best of luck. Let me know if I can offer any other assistance. - Magicman

Thanks for the thoughts MM. Your opinion is always valued.  8))

I should have mentioned off the top that I'm only using this as a landing page from paid advertising (Adwords specifically for now). The keywords I'm using are laser targeted to this area (in this example they're targeted to this exact furnace - I'll be creating many more).

Having said that, I get your points loud and clear.

I'm zonked so I'll have to take some time to digest this tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the slow to load part is the host. Once the site is done-ish I'll be moving it to a VPS.

Thanks for now...
