Paramount Profits / GFX Apocalypse
« on: May 22, 2014, 05:13:38 PM »
I downloaded the GFX Apocalypse from the members section here.  I found a few images I liked in it and wanted to include some images in a software I'm developing.  The rights here in RRW say it's only for Personal Use.  So, I contacted Paramount Profits in regards to purchasing either MRR, PLR, or whatever rights would entail me being able to use some of the images in my software.

For over three days I've been going back and forth with their "support."  Basically I keep having to repeat myself as they're asking the same questions over and over.  Their final response was this:

Quote
Nick,

Thank you for responding.

Unfortunately no Nick, you bought it from another person or company.
You better ask them. ^_^

If you still have problem please let me know and I'll be happy to help.
I was wondering if I can close this ticket now, either way do you have any other concern?

Best Regards,

Seriously?!  I've clearly explained to them that the access I have was Personal Use and that I was willing to pay for additional rights (MRR, PLR, whatever) if it would allow me use of images in my software.  Clearly the support team is run by idiots.  I normally am not one for name-calling, but when I waste my time having to repeat the same exact answers for two days in a row, and then get an answer like the one I got.... It really annoys me (to put it nicely).  It's obvious this support person has no desire or concern for making extra money.

They've just sealed their fate.  I'd never purchase anything from that company.  Mark, if you can give me any advice about the images within that package, such as if it's available anywhere else or such, I'd be most grateful.  I'm mainly interested in the certificates that are in the package.  I've tried contacting the company that I thought made it but my efforts were futile.

Hey Nick,

Unfortunately I don't believe they're available anywhere else with PLR other then the source:

Thanks,

To be honest, the more I research the company the more suspicious I become.  I'm a firm believer in a company listing their info.  This company lists no physical address.  Only method of contact is a helpdesk or support e-mail.  WHOIS search on their domains are all protected by a privacy guard service of their domain reigistrar.  The most I've found is in their Terms which lists the mailing address as:

Paramount Profits

Nottingham City
UK

I was trying to find some type of snail mail address since their customer support does not appear to be competent enough to understand when someone is trying to throw money their way.  For me, the first red flag of a company is when they hide behind WHOIS Privacy Guard services.

After a little bit of research on Google I've found the WarriorForum profile for Craig Crawford (one of the owners of Paramount Profits).  I'm going to send him a PM to see if I can get a solid answer on what the terms/rights include in his GFX Apocalypse package that sells for $19.00.

Only reason I'm spending so much time on this is that If I can get what I'm looking for I will save me TONS of time and money for a project I'm working on.

Thanks Mark.  Seems to me then I could include it as part of my software.  I see it as "Can create new products out of the source files."  Mainly, want to take some of the graphics and allow people to customize the text that would go on the graphic.  That's what I'm creating a program to do.  People choose maybe the font and text (limiting the number of characters based on graphic chosen).  $19.00 is well worth it.

The parts about selling PLR, MRR, etc to others is no applicable as I have no interest in doing that with my software.
