JVZoo Frustrations

Hi all,

Just had to vent somewhere so figured I'd do it here. 

I've added a lot of products to JVZoo so far. I see good things coming down the road with this (as well as ClickBank).

The rant:

Why do people (obviously getting products from here) insist on pricing things so low? I've seen lots of members post stuff for $2.97 when it should go for 10x+ that.

Do they not understand that's they're selling to affiliates?

Do they not realize that afiliates don't want to make 50% of $2.97.

Why not price higher?

     First off your premise is mistaken.  On JVZoo or any platform for that matter, people are NOT selling to Affiliates they are selling to people who want that particular product.   They offer Affiliates the chance to make a commission on the product BUT Affiliates are NOT the target market, end users are.   Putting a low price shows their lack of IM training....(probably going it alone and never having a paid mentor to guide them).

You say you have a lot of products on JVZoo.  What type of products are they? Master Resell Rights Products perhaps?  Are you making sales or you are finding it hard to make sales because others are selling the same product at a low price?   You know what the solution to that is?  Simple dont sell what everyone else is selling!  Here's a suggestion: repurpose PLR, make it unique and sell it! (of course more than $2.97 )  then drive traffic to it, then you have a better chance of getting affiliates (they do love those high EPCs!).

What I meant to say is...

Affiliates are the first group that has to be sold to promote your product on JVZoo and then the end user has to be sold on actualy buying it. The point is, if I'm an affiliate, I'm not wasting time on products that are $2.97 even if the commission is 100%.

After further investigation, it seems like a LOT of the cometing products lead to a dead sales page. That puts them out of the running anyways so they could give the products away and nobody could get to them. 

I would have expected JVZoom to be able to weed those out.

I am all over the repurposing (although some are RR and MRR). I just need way more hours in the day.

The team at JVZoo is very small so they dont have the capacity to ping every salespage to make sure that they are up and running.  Also some jvzoo accounts have been banned so they have a profile and have products listed but they dont go anywhere because jvzoo has removed the contents for that account.  I know a few people that has happened to.  (the original owner of the product has to file a complaint in jvzoo to make that happen).

I disagree with your premise.  You dont NEED affiliates to make money online.   You can drive traffic to your offers and make money.  Affiliates make you MORE money but they arent a necessity so please dont think you need to sell affiliates on promoting your products...besides the only way to convince affiliates to promote your products is with numbers and reputation. 

Also its even been suggested that as a beginner that you dont want to go looking for affiliates until you have sent traffic to your offer and made some sales first.  EPCs are what drive most affiliates to promote a product until that person has a good reputation.

You also have to remember, often times the front end product is sold cheap to get the buyer in to the marketers sales funnel. Just as important, to build a buyers list which can be one of the most profitable lists you can have. Make them a irresistible offer that can't refuse, high value and low price, get more buyers. Well, that is the theory. :)

It's a great strategy when people buy from you they become more comfortable in doing more business in future so may be you are selling just 1$ product but in future you can sell them 100$ product and since they trust you they will not hesitate in buying from you.

There are a lot of different ways to make money on line. People that sign up for accounts know the rules and should adhear to them. It is their responsible to make sure they keep up with thier accounts
