You mean I can not have a million visitors right now. I alway thought you put a web site out there and they will come....

That only seems to work for me.
The rest of you have to work at it.

Haha you're right. No single method could work for all of us. As I have said, this is a trial and error thing and you have to explore almost every method to know what is the best for you.

The only problem is that people too often don't have patience to wait for visitors to come. They want it all, right now, at the very same moment when domain is active.

Quite true.

I've noticed too that a lot of people expect nothing but SEO to take care of their traffic, or resort to traffic exchanges.

Proper optimization is a must, but so is targeted promotion. Both take work and patience.

That's right! This just goes to show that there is no single method that could give you the results that you wanted. You should always consider multiple factors when it comes to increasing traffic to your website. Again, it's a trial and error.

Marketing Talk / Re: How to Grow Your Email Subscriber List !
« on: July 16, 2013, 10:19:07 AM »
... Have done it in the past and have gathered more than 2, 000 email addresses in three days. ...

I've never asked him about the results, so didn't have a clue that numbers could be that high. The number of 2k emails in just a 3 days is quite impressive (at least I see it that way).

I will have to check with him how sales are going.

It is quite impressive although there are certain factors for this to work. The number one thing that you should consider is how attractive is your give away item? In my case, it was a set of shirts by a particular group that is very popular and teens love. :) The second factor is how fast could you disseminate this so I needed a hand from friends in the business to help me spread the word.

Marketing Talk / Re: How Keyword Help to Grow Your Website
« on: July 16, 2013, 10:15:34 AM »
I just have to agree this is a great post! Keywords are really important part of every webpage and they should be treated that way.

... I would also love to read articles or tips about long tail keywords. I think they are also critical in the sense that it has low keyword competition. So could we maximize it and how to find or make a long tail keyword with low competition?

I'm just about to test the theory about long tail keywords on one of the pages that I just can't get to the first page of search engines due to the too common keywords so will let you know :)

I will wait for your update mate. I'm actually on a trial myself involving this long tail phrases. :) We'll see how it goes for both us then. :)

If it's a digital product, I'd go with newegg than amazon or ebay. I've got some really good deals from newegg last month!

Email Marketing / Re: Email Marketing Basics
« on: July 14, 2013, 12:30:36 PM »
This maybe one of the oldest method of internet marketing but this still works! Email marketing is one of my favorite method of introducing my product and affiliate links. The guide written by Mark above have sum it all up. All that we need to know is right up there and even I already consider myself as someone who already knew the basic of email marketing, I still have gathered some useful information from this post.

Thanks Mark!

That method is solid Kory. Have done it in the past and have gathered more than 2, 000 email addresses in three days. Sadly, none of them that I emailed have signed up for an affiliate link. It's a try though. That's IM anyway. Try and try until you find the thing that works for you.

I am not trhowing away this my friend, I want you to use this in any way you can, and benefit from it. People usually underestimate the power of PLR and I don't want anyone here to do that...

creating unique content is easy.  I'm not sure why you would say its hard all it takes is a little research and imagination.
Are you pertaining to me? I didn't say that creating a unique content is hard. I said that creating a NEW content is hard because even if you think that you created a new content, somewhere else in the world wide web have already created that content that you think is new. However it doesn't mean that what you've created isn't unique. Of course it is unique. It's just not new. You get what I mean?

Marketing Talk / Re: Microblogging
« on: July 13, 2013, 10:35:58 PM »
Well the name speaks for itself I believe. Microblogging is just like the traditional blogging however the content that you are posting here are short phrases videos links or even digital texts. I believe that microblogging is more of a casual way way to communicate to people on the internet than the traditional blogging.

If it is helpful in SEO? I'm not really sure. It could be if done right and expertly. I have not really tried dwelling in this because I quite like traditional blogging better.
