Mastering PLR & MRR Products / WSO Advice
« on: November 27, 2012, 04:04:49 PM »
I've done two WSOs in the last few years. I broke even on them. I can tell you that affiliate promotions are the key, especially now. You've got to have affiliates. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. That's my two cents.

Marketing Talk / Time Management Tips
« on: September 23, 2012, 07:05:46 PM »
Let's face it. One of the biggest challenges Internet marketers and aspiring Internet marketers face is TIME MANAGEMENT. I thought this article from Entrepreneur magazine's online site contained some good tips....

http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/219553

I've personally found that taking time to actually plan each day is critical to my productivity. When I don't do that, my productivity suffers.

Would you care to share some tips?

Product/Service Reviews / "Speak With Confidence" - Please Review
« on: September 17, 2012, 08:23:44 PM »
Hello RRW friends,

I've updated my ebook on the fear of public speaking. Its new title is "Speak With Confidence: How to Vanquish Your Fear of Public Speaking Forever." (Before, the title was the subtitle. I've added "Speak With Confidence"). Along with the title overhaul, I added to and enhanced the content.

**If you want to go directly to Amazon instead of using the above tinyurl link, that's fine. Just go to Amazon and search "Brian Tubbs" and "Speak With Confidence."

From tomorrow (Sept 18) through at least Thursday (Sept 20), it is available as a free download. If you wouldn't mind, please take a few moments to "buy" it (for free) via the Amazon Kindle site. (You don't need a physical Kindle. You can get a Kindle app for your smartphone, PC, or tablet). And then after reading it, please leave a review - even a critical review. And if you like it, please click 'like' as well as leaving a review.

Thank you for your time.

This WSO looks interesting and, for $17, comes with PLR rights. Do you think you can pick this up for us, Mark?

Hey All,

Thank You all for the advice. It is great stuff. The big problem I have is the amount of meds I take to control the pain. This is the big problem I am going to have. As you will see my writing changes day from day.  But I will say I am still here trying to do what I can and I try to make it intresting.

If the pain makes it difficult to sit in front of the keyboard, you may want to try dictation. You can invest in Dragon Naturally Speaking software, which makes "writing" go a lot faster for a lot of people. You don't need to sit in front of the computer to dictate into the software either. You can invest in an audio digital recorder. You can then dictate into your recorder while walking, laying down, sitting in a comfortable chair, etc. Then, when you're ready, upload the file into your PC and sync it with Dragon Naturally Speaking, which will then type out the text of what you dictated into the audio recorder. Just a suggestion.

Marketing Talk / Making Money as a Fiction Writer...is it possible?
« on: April 30, 2012, 02:47:04 PM »
For those of you who frequent the Warrior Forum, you know there have been several WSOs about how to make money writing fiction for the Amazon Kindle. Can you make money as a fiction writer? Yes. Is it easy? No. Allow me to share a little bit of perspective from my experience...

For the last few months, mainly due to work demands and because I found myself spending so much time on forums (and not enough doing stuff to make money), I stepped back from virtually all forum activity to focus on a few different business models to see which had the most promise. While there may be a handful of people who strike gold quickly in Internet marketing, the truth is that far more people LOSE money in IM than make money. And the reason is that most people spend years searching desperately for the "get rich quick" solutions so often promised by hyped-up headlines. When people get emotional and desperate, reason goes out the window. This kind of thing is now happening with many Internet marketers who are looking for gold at the end of the Amazon Kindle rainbow. You CAN make money writing fiction for the Amazon Kindle, but it's NOT going to be easy and quick...no matter what WSO or marketer tells you otherwise.

For the last several months, I've written several nonfiction eBooks that are selling fairly well on the Amazon Kindle. Three of them are actually Amazon bestsellers in their respective categories. I'm not making a ton of money, but a little bit of residual income each month is nice. After seeing the success in my nonfiction titles (which I'm still working on), I decided to try fiction. I purchased several WSOs and eBooks about writing fiction, and began applying some of those methods. What I found, though, is that it's a whole lot easier to buy a WSO or eBook about writing fiction than it is to actually WRITE fiction. :)

So far, I've written and published a handful of fiction titles....all under pen names. I am not making as much money with fiction as with nonfiction, BUT...I can see that may very well change in the next few months, because now I have a system and a direction. If you're interested in learning more, I wrote a post over at the Warrior Forum about coming up with plot/story ideas for your Kindle fiction...

http://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/590052-how-generate-plot-ideas-your-kindle-fiction.html#post6153356

While I focus on Kindle, the same principles hold true for Smashwords, the Nook, or any other eBook platform. Or for that matter, print platform.

I'm no Stephen King. :)  My fiction eBooks are not Pulitzer Prize literary masterpieces by any means. I'm learning as I go, but it's fun.

If you're interested in writing fiction on the Kindle and making money, it's definitely worth checking into. But don't make the mistake of buying into all the hype. Making money online (whether it's how-to or fiction) is a business and it involves WORK. In the case of writing fiction, the work can be fun, but it's still work.

Any other fiction writers want to share some tips, ideas, perspectives?

Feedback Requests / Got another check :-)
« on: August 13, 2011, 12:57:56 PM »
Received another check for just under $15. Again, nothing to write home about, but the ebook is now making me about $14-15 per month. I'm about 3/4 done with my second ebook now.

Sorry I'm late in answering this. I have not written an ebook on cholesterol. The only ebook on that topic I'd be personally qualified or credible to write would be...

"How to Pack As Much Cholesterol into Your Diet as Possible"

:-)

Just an update...

I got my first check from Amazon for my ebook sales. So far, I've made $14.87.  Nothing to write home about or get too excited about, but....that's from just one ebook that I'm running at 99 cents per ebook right now, which means my commission is only 35 percent of that. When you consider the paltry profits I'm getting per sale and that we're only talking about ONE ebook (that's all I have up there right now) and hardly ANY promotion/marketing, this is encouraging.
