Marketing Talk / Camtasia 9 for $20
« on: July 29, 2018, 09:44:13 AM »
I came across this offer. It's only for another 3 days and it's for a version that has just been superseded, but I'm guessing from previous offers that it will also give you a discount if you upgrade to the latest version:

Technical Assistance / Re: Help-Anybody know How To Fix This?

Suggest you use a disk health monitor. That happened to me a few times and when it was in for a clean the tech chappie told me that that is often a warning that something is on the way out.

Doesn't mean it's going to fail immediately just that there are a couple of bad sectors.

This is the one I was pointed to:

Warned me an external drive was on the blink five months before it finally failed...

I recently saw the sales page for this collection which said "get 4 brand new premium quality private label business in a box"

Brand new? they are all already in here with MRR:

On a similar vein, apparently 89% of people never change the default pin on their mobile phone voicemail, hence all the scandal about journalists hacking voicemail and over 30% of people use the first 4 digits of their date of birth for their ATM pin even though the terms and conditions make it clear not to.

No wonder fraudsters have a field day!

Hi Mark,

What rights are you going to be able to pass on on this?

Oddly these are personal use only. The first upsell is for 5 extra methods of increasing income, the second upsell is PLR but only to the first upsell!

Very confusing and not good value.

Marketing Talk / Money Machine Madness and WP Member Madness
« on: September 10, 2014, 08:43:42 PM »
These two products are an interesting example of one way to treat PLR.
They have both been in the membership for a while originally added with PLR as:

Automated Membership Machine

Product Rights: Private Label Rights
Added on: 10/01/2012

WP Member Blueprint

Product Rights: Private Label Rights
Added on: 10/03/2013

The product itself is unchanged just the marketing material has had a complete rework.

What are your thoughts on it? do you feel that it is legitimate, or do you feel that at least new title screens should be added with the new branding?

Hi Mark,
This looks interesting:

The rights suggest you should be able to pass MRR

Hi Mark,

Don't know what rights you can pass but you can definitely put it in a membership:

Marketing Talk / Re: Mentors & mentoring
« on: October 21, 2013, 10:45:08 PM »
I know a couple of life coaches, and their success rate is astounding. I think being accountable to somebody else is part of it, but there is no doubt that most people will function better with a new set of eyes looking at things.

When you see the difference an outside business consultant can make to the profitability of a business, it's much the same.

Mentoring definitely works but you need to be at the right stage to benefit from it.  My only online experience of mentoring is John Thornhill who is excellent. He has an ability to zero in on your weaknesses and suggest simple improvements. I've only had a couple of half hour sessions with him, and they were well worth it.

One of the problems most people have is that they tend to over think things. Often a mentor can simplify the process and more importantly create confidence.

It's all very well having clear actionable goals but if you lack self belief, no matter what you try for some reason it won't work. I was at a seminar where a  chap called Phil Gosling was talking about belief. He worked with someone who was certain that he couldn't work with computers. When Phil asked him to do something, it simply didn't work. Phil showed him what to do, but when he did it the computer simply didn't respond. The guy's belief was so strong it was actually physically affecting his surroundings.

Phil was talking about the law of attraction. As he said to all the doubters, "look at your life and tell me how often you have got what you expected, good and bad. If you  analyse it most people get what they expect about 80% of the time. The key is in your expectation."

Having a mentor changes that expectation and that is the importance of it. It also gives you the confidence to try things that without guidance you would have thought beyond you.

Marketing Talk / Re: Teespring T-shirts
« on: October 02, 2013, 09:28:06 AM »
I remember a few years ago David Vallieres did a video on using Cafe Press to produce teeshirts to sell on Ebay. Did try it myself but never got a design that sold in sufficient numbers to make it really worthwhile. Saying that I did notice one or two people who were selling shirts in astonishing quantities but I never could work out why the designs that were selling well were. I remember a shirt that had "lets make like" on the front and a couple of bunnies doing what bunnies do on the back that had sold over 1000 units!

Might be worthwhile looking at other sources for your shirts. My local screen printer does 1 colour on white for under 6 and doesn't charge for setup as long as you give him 300dpi artwork.

I would imagine that is just means Mark could only pass personal rights.

If you are into Kindle that is the platform Ed Dale is using at the 30 day challenge this year. Still time to catch it. they are leaving the training up till the end on November.
