Well I lost my password. So, I selected the "forgot passwpord" link and was told an email had been sent. Tried that eight ties and never got an email. So, I fiigured, no big deal, I'll open a support ticket. After a few hours I figured I'd check on it - of course, like a goofball, I didn't know the tarcking number, but no worries, it said to enter my email address and it would be sent. Even got a nice message telling me it was sent - and, nothing at all showed up.
So, where do I go from here folks? (and yes, before you aske, I did check my spam folder :-)
Thanks

The Freebie Forum / Re: Article site

Hi everyone. Just a quick update on this post. Yes, the site was owned by us (The Ozarks Sentinel Publications, LLC) and was operational. When we posted the original post here. However, the site itself was taken down by us a while back as it became far too expensive t maintain given a large number of hacking attempts to the database - which had i excess of 100,000 articles.
After serious consideration, we decided to take it down.
As for the offer by 21centurywebrealestate, that was legit - easy to verify if one takes a little time.
As for publishing my real name in this post - SurfSmarter - obviously not too smart are you? Yes, anyone can do a whois and find that out - but most legit members of responsible forums don't post it.Thanks for the tremendous amount of spam sent my way thanks to you. Hope I can return the favor someday very soon.

The Freebie Forum / Article site
« on: March 26, 2012, 05:55:07 PM »
Hi,
We run a free article submission site as one of our online businesses.  However, we really put it up to just help people market their articles for free.
Unlike our numerous other sites, it's pretty much hands-off as far as operation goes, so we didn't give it much thought. Until today when we were offered a large amount for it from a venture group called 21centurywebrealestate.com.
I checked them out and they are ligit. Nice huh?
Well, here's why it's in the free forum - if we sell we are not certain how they will structure the site, so we wanted to let you know you can register and submit free articles, and we will have them retained via contract, should we decide to sell the site - so your articles will get exposure.
Oh, yea, exposure - There are 89959 published articles and 7696 registered authors in our article directory, site averages 3,500 unique visitors a day.
If we decide not to sell, your articles will be there - forever and free.

Feedback Requests / Re: New page for review
« on: March 18, 2012, 02:04:10 PM »
Interesting, but honestly, I wouldn't go any further in the site.
I know a picture is usually worth a thousand words, but a few more words in this case a little explanation of what to expect on the inside might be in order.
As Karen said above, it is a little confusing, and the Priceless Mastercard thing has been done to death.

Seems the Order Now button goes to an error page - might help a little if we knew the price  ;D

Technical Assistance / Re: Coupon generator
« on: February 24, 2012, 04:11:14 PM »
Well, let's see if I can help you with this:
site url    = the full url of the site the coupons appear on (http://www.yoursitegoeshere.com/)
mysql_host = normally simply localhost
Coupons Database = Name assigned to database (assuming you used the Mysql wizard just enter the database name
Database User = This will be the Mysql database user name
password = whatever password you set up for the database
Invalid Page = full url to an error page if the user enters a wrong url or coupon code (you will have to create this page and then simply place the url to it here)

This appears to be a config.php type file, so you would simply do the above, save it and upload to the root of the web site.
Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the feedback. It is invaluable to have others give their opinions, and I deeply appreciate the time you took to look at the sales page and then comment.
I have sent all of you a pm with a link to the plugin and the user manual.
I hope you enjoy using it and find it worthwhile.
Again, thank you all.

The Freebie Forum / Free WordPress Plugin for first three people.
« on: February 23, 2012, 09:59:30 PM »
Hello,
We have just finished developing a new plugin that we believe will be a solid seller.
However, we want to see if you think people will buy it.
So we would like you to look at our draft sales page and tell us if you would be willing to pay for this plugin.
That's all.
The first three people to respond in the forum, will get the plugin for free.
Here's the sales page draft version http://homebusinesses4u.com/pre-launch-sales-draft
BTW - the plugin will sell for $10.99 when we release it.
It will create backlinks, save email addresses, allow unlimited campaigns on a site, and much more.
Hope this interests you.

Product/Service Reviews / Re: Writing For Money
« on: February 11, 2012, 05:37:03 PM »
As the owner of newspapers, and a prolific writer, I can tell you I seldom find anything of real value on sites that pay little to the writer.
The problem stems from sites trying to attract talented writers and then pay them less that the cost of a McDonald hamburger. Most professional writers will just pass such sites by.
That's not to say there aren't some good writers on some sites -  iWriter has a few talented ones, but you won't get them for $5.
On most sites, you end up with something that has been spun from existing works, just enough to pass copyscape. Worse, you outsource and end up with pieces that were obviously written by someone who uses English as a second language.
If you want to write to earn money, you'd be better off using your talents to create an unique set of reports or a few ebooks and trying them out on places like JVZoo.com (free) or even having some of the forum members here review them (who knows, perhaps you may get a JV partner doing that).
Well, that's just my two cents worth, and 38 years of experience in writing.
Hope it helps a little.
Dave
