I decided to search around the RRW site to see if I could find a PDF brander.  Was hoping to find something web-based (i.e. a script).  Eventually, I'm wanting to have that as a feature on one of my sites.  That is, customers will be able to easily rebrand PDF reports that I create and sell to them.

When searching for a PDF rebrander I found a few results.  Of those, only a couple of them seemed to be what I'm looking for.  Unfortunately, some of the software is a bit old (2009 and 2011).  The reason I say unfortunately, is that in my experience, when IM software is that old, it's rarely made to stand the test of time (i.e. still able to use it years down the road.

The first software I tried is a desktop application called Easy PDF Maker, added on 5/1/2009.  It appears to have been made using the Tiger Software Builder.  When I go to run the software after installing, I get lots of errors:

Code: [Select]

The next software I tried was Turbo PDF, which was added on 2/28/2011.  It has a completely outdated help file.  When I click on the HTM file, it loads, but all of the links (i.e. actual contents) bring up 404 errors.  Instead of the actual help contents being in the HTM file, the HTM file is nothing more than a hyperlinked table of contents.  Each link brings me to a website with URLs that no longer exist.

I really don't need the help file as I'm quite adept at installing scripts on my own considering that web design and development is what I do.  I attempted to install the script, but installation failed.  I got the following error when running the install.php script:

Code: [Select]
Error when creating DB schema: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'TYPE=MyISAM' at line 6
Seems to me like the script is quite buggy.  When I get time I may look over the coding to see what coding is causing the problem(s).

If anyone has any suggestions on where I can get a decent script to do the branding/rebranding, I'm open to suggestions.  Currently, I primarily build my websites with WordPress, therefore, a plugin that does this would be best.  I have found a couple plugins that might work, one of them being XBrander.

I have thought of just doing the branding via a desktop application.  If I would go that route, then I can easily create that myself using NeoBook.

Questions About Latest Products / Gamblers Anonymous Incorrect Info
« on: March 22, 2016, 05:14:02 PM »
I was just looking through the Gold Downloads section.  There's a product called "Gamblers Anonymous" that was added on March 19, 2016.  The description is:

"Learn The Reason Goals Are Important In Weight Loss And In Maintaining Weight!"

The photo for it is also for that of Gamblers Anonymous.  The sales page, though is that of weight loss.  Below is the URL to the sales page:

http://resell-rights-weekly.com/SP/3_2016/GamblersAnonymous_mrrg/

I downloaded the zip file (GamblersAnonymous_mrrg.zip).  I unzipped it and the contents are that of Gamblers Anonymous.  The eBook it conains is a 28-page PDF on dealing with gambling and gambling addictions.  It seems as if the description and the sales page are incorrect for this product.

Questions About Latest Products / Software The New Fad?
« on: January 17, 2015, 12:10:08 PM »
I've noticed in the past few months the addition of "software."  I put software in quotes because I don't really consider what's being added to be really software.  The latest additions have been Bowling For Beginners Software, Dental Perfection Software, Guide To Hiking Software, etc.

Basically, it's an exe that when opened has buttons.  Each button opens a PDF that's embedded in the exe.  That's it.  While I understand that information can be distributed through software, it just seems that it's being stretched a bit by doing nothing more than embedding a few PDFs in to an EXE.

Product/Service Reviews / Build, Rank, Flip Amazon
« on: August 23, 2014, 05:22:20 PM »
Has anyone ever heard of this system:  Build, Rank, Flip.  It was created by Tony Newton.  I've seen Amazon review sites in the RRW member section.  Is there anything special to this system he's selling?

Website is http://www.buildrankflip.com/amazon

Product/Service Reviews / Paramount Profits / GFX Apocalypse
« on: May 22, 2014, 05:13:38 PM »
I downloaded the GFX Apocalypse from the members section here.  I found a few images I liked in it and wanted to include some images in a software I'm developing.  The rights here in RRW say it's only for Personal Use.  So, I contacted Paramount Profits in regards to purchasing either MRR, PLR, or whatever rights would entail me being able to use some of the images in my software.

For over three days I've been going back and forth with their "support."  Basically I keep having to repeat myself as they're asking the same questions over and over.  Their final response was this:

Quote
Nick,

Thank you for responding.

Unfortunately no Nick, you bought it from another person or company.
You better ask them. ^_^

If you still have problem please let me know and I'll be happy to help.
I was wondering if I can close this ticket now, either way do you have any other concern?

Best Regards,
Meehann Quilos
Virtual Assistant
Paramount Profits

Seriously?!  I've clearly explained to them that the access I have was Personal Use and that I was willing to pay for additional rights (MRR, PLR, whatever) if it would allow me use of images in my software.  Clearly the support team is run by idiots.  I normally am not one for name-calling, but when I waste my time having to repeat the same exact answers for two days in a row, and then get an answer like the one I got.... It really annoys me (to put it nicely).  It's obvious this support person has no desire or concern for making extra money.

They've just sealed their fate.  I'd never purchase anything from that company.  Mark, if you can give me any advice about the images within that package, such as if it's available anywhere else or such, I'd be most grateful.  I'm mainly interested in the certificates that are in the package.  I've tried contacting the company that I thought made it but my efforts were futile.

Questions About Latest Products / WP Rebrander Tool Missing Pages
« on: May 14, 2014, 01:21:51 PM »
I downloaded the WP Rebrander Tool (07/06/2013).  I read the instructions and in them, it states that it includes a list of sites where you can legally download the themes and plugins that are GPL compliant.  I see no list.  I looked back over the PDF.  In the table of contents it has "What Premium Themes that are 100% Safe to Resell ĎAs Isí."  That's on page 11.  Unfortunately the PDF is only 9 pages long.  It seems as if two pages were clipped off this PDF.

Product/Service Reviews / Avoid Freelancer.com
« on: May 07, 2014, 01:36:52 AM »
I needed an extension developed for Fusion 2.5. I figured I'd give freelancer.com a try. I posted what I needed, however, noticed immediately that what I typed was not what was posted. For one, instead of the project title I originally put, it was the default genetic title of "Write some software." Next I noticed the price range was wrong. Instead of the $30-$150 option I selected it was the $$50-$700 option.

I clicked to edit the project. It won't let you edit the title when you click in the box. There's no option at all to change the project price range. I figured I'd delete the project and repost it. Their system wants to charge me $5 to delete the project. I was dumbfounded. My project hadn't even been up for 20 minutes.

I contacted support about the issue including my concern for being charged $5 to delete a project that cannot really be edited and where information was wrongly posted due to an error of their system. I received s response basically telling me price range and titles cannot be edited. They suggested I delete the project but reminded me that deleting a project incurs a $5 fee. It's almost as if they could care less their system messed up and they were trying to rip me off. I responded that I would be deleting my account.

This was the first time and my last time ever using freelancer.com. Their site software is buggy and they could care less about it. Hopefully I'll have better luck with odesk.

Marketing Talk / Affiliate Marketing vs Your Own Product
« on: April 29, 2014, 04:42:49 PM »
I've finally decided to get off my butt and put my Gold membership to use.  Lots of great PLR content and ways to make money.  My dilema is which route to go. One route is to use content and other downloads in the membership area to bring people in and make money via referring through an affiliate link.  With all the content here I can easily research and rewrite the content to create a website.  I can also rewrite the content to create reports for people to sign up to a mailing list or even create bonuses when people purchase through an affiliate link.  The other option is to create my own products.  I can create my own ebooks, packages, software, etc.

Selling my own products would basically require getting a business license, bank account for the business, etc.  Affiliate Marketing I collect a commissions check each month.  No need to deal with any of the business formalities.

My issue is I like to have control over what's going on.  With affiliate marketing you're limited.  Ultimate control is by whomever creates the product/service you are advertising.  I'm not looking to become a millionaire by affiliate marketing.

I'm looking for experience from those that have been in the game a while (affiliate marketing and/or selling your own product).  What has been your best method?  Advertising other's product/service or creating your own?

Product/Service Reviews / Dan Holdings Zero Cost Marketing Secrets
« on: April 06, 2014, 03:41:15 PM »
Last night I watched a webinar by Jay Boyer and John Rhodes.  It was with Dan Holdings and his system on how to do marketing and spend no money for the marketing.  I've done a search in the member's section of RRW and have found a few Zero Cost Affiliate Marketing e-books and related.  They were added as recently as January 2014.  Dan Holdings system is supposed to be for any marketing, online, offline, e-books, actual products, etc.  That is, not limited to just affiliate marketing.

Has anyone heard of Dan Holdings?  Is anyone familiar with the Zero Cost Marketing System?  I've found a few others selling a "zero cost marketing" system on the Warrior Forums.  Are they all the same?  Are they the same or similar to what's offered in the RRW member's area?

Your RRW Membership / Personal Use Rights
« on: January 13, 2014, 05:50:42 PM »
I've been looking over some Wordpress plugins that's available here.  Most of them are "Personal Use" only.  However, when researching the Internet I'm seeing the same exact plugins with MRR/RR/PLR licenses. Is there a particular reason most of the WP plugins here are personal use only?

Questions About Latest Products / $0.02 FB Clicks
« on: November 25, 2013, 04:25:49 AM »
I haven't been paying much attention to the releases on RRW.  The other day I got an e-mail about a product claiming to teach about $0.02 FB clicks.  I thought the idea sounded nice but I really wasn't in to FB advertising at the moment I read the e-mail.  Tonight... errr.. this morning, I'm skimming through the Gold downloads and I stumble upon a course claiming to teach about $0.02 FB advertising clicks.  I also noticed, as I was just skimming through about the term AZON, which is short for Amazon.  I'm like, hold on.  I do a quick search on the internet and found one of the $0.02 FB Ad Clicks courses with AZON themes as bonuses. It's selling for $97.  It blew my mind.  I've been hearing a lot about "AZON" in IM lately.  I truly got a smack in the face today.  I knew that RRW has tons of awesome content available but to see stuff available to me for my low monthly fee and to see IMers selling similar products for near $100 really makes me realize even more how much potential is available in the content here.

Your RRW Membership / Graphic Design Simplified With GIMP no longer works
« on: September 05, 2013, 01:41:50 AM »
I searched RRW for GIMP.  I found two products: Graphic Design Simplified With Gimp (8/25/2009) and Create Web 2.0 Graphics With GIMP (6/26/2009).  Graphic Design Simplified With Gimp does not appear to be a functional product any longer.  I downloaded the zip file and unzipped it.  The exe appears to be an e-book compiled with Activ E-Book Compiler.  I click at the bottom where it says "Click Here To Continue" which brings up "This program cannot display this webpage."  It seems to me as if the URL in this e-book is no longer valid.

I'm developing content and software.  I want an all-in-one solution. At first I was going to use Wordpress with InstaBuilder and DLGuard.  I've discovered a tool that might be able to do what all three of those together can do.  It's called Rapid Residual Pro.

From what I've seen I love the features on InstaBuilder such as people being able to get downloads after they have shared the page on FB, etc.  Not sure if RRP has such IM type features.  I'm quite familiar with WP. Have been using both WP and Joomla for over 7 years to develop websites.  The reason for DL Guard is to create protection sections of my site as well as to handle software purchases.  DL Guard seems to have the capability to handle serial distribution.  I just sent off an e-mail on the RRP website to see if it can handle serials as well.

What has been the experience of those that use InstaBuilder, DL Guard, and RPP?
