Off Topic Forum / Being an Adult
« on: November 21, 2013, 02:19:14 AM »
I hope it's okay to post it here.  :wistle:

So here's nothing.

I recently just turned 29 and I made some personal inventory of what I had been doing all my life that brought me to this present-me. I know I've made many wrongs that if I were given a chance to time-travel and alter my life path, I would in a heartbeat.

I really can't describe this sudden change of mindset. It's like I woke up wiser and suddenly I'm ready to take things like an adult does. I made some small research about it, and came across SATURN RETURN. It's basically the time when a person hits the ages 27-30 and enters the adulthood phase, which astrologers allude to Saturn's return at its exact position when a person is born.

It's overwhelming and painful at the same time. A rollercoaster of emotions, a great way to describe it. I feel like I missed up on a lot of opportunities when I was younger and now, I have to be more responsible and practical and realistic and all that.

So there, I just want to rant. I have been inactive in my social life recently because I've been thinking a lot about my life and what to do with it. :(

Technical Assistance / SEO recovery
« on: September 08, 2013, 04:11:28 AM »
Hey guys

I have a friend whose ecommerce site has been a victim of negative comments from 2 high ranking online forums. Such that when you search for keywords associated to his ecommerce site, the comments from these high ranking communities are way up there in the searches (page 1) and even ranking higher than the ecommerce site itself of my friend.

I had been reading a lot about SEO stuff really and it's hard to keep up. Now we have what we call Negative SEO which I suggested to my friend to do to those 2 online communities. But this from what I researched is not a long term solution, what with the Disavow Tool that webmasters use. Now the other alternative I see for this is to create as many positive press releases on his e-commerce site such that those 2 negative comments would be buried deep down the searches. But this, we concede is such a tedious process. Is there any way we can do to this?

Appreciate all replies :)

Marketing Talk / Pen Name/Alias for IM
« on: August 27, 2013, 12:06:29 PM »
Heya guys

Sorry for a n00b question.

I was just wondering if one can use pen names in Internet Marketing? Thing is, I don't want my real name to come up in searches with regard to making money online or PLRs or original content. So I was thinking of creating a pen name (just one) for all of my IM affairs. Would that be all right? It's just that I also have a very personal blog and I of course don't want to mix my personal life with business matters --

Marketing Talk / Pinterest in IM
« on: August 10, 2013, 10:06:25 AM »
I noticed that aside from FB and Twitter, Pinterest is now becoming a new rage in marketing. Basically, the concept is the same, pulling the crowd to your site through repinning of your visuals by users.

Any one here who uses Pinterest to increase traffic to their site? I was thinking of having one for my travel blog (in the works) and see if its worth the buzz.

Off Topic Forum / How do you motivate yourself?
« on: August 09, 2013, 09:09:43 AM »
well, seems like the Self Help board is dead already, so here's nothing.

a lil bit of a background:

It's only been 3 months since I resigned from my last employer. The pay was pretty handsome all right, and the work's the same thing every day. Nice working atmosphere and I can even steal some deep naps/REM sleeps in between but I was so tired of it already. I didn't see myself working for the same company all my life. Took me 4 solid years to jump the gun.

So here I am. I do have some freelancing experience even before I left like article writing, a bit of SEO and other stuff. And then I learned IM, PLRs, PPC, CPA and a whole host of other money making schemes. And I have to say this thing needs a lot of patience and determination, and I know there's a lot of bumps ahead. I sometimes wonder if I made the right decision after all.

So just wondering, what keeps you going guys? Or how do you motivate yourself?I know financial freedom is what our ultimate goal, is that our end all and be all?

Thank you.

Mastering PLR & MRR Products / Buying/Selling a website
« on: July 26, 2013, 09:21:30 AM »
Hey guys. I've used the Search button before posting this, and found there was none. So here it is. I was actually looking at the list of available PLRs and I saw there were some interesting niche websites. But I was wondering how do you gauge if this will be a good buy or not? has anyone here bought a niche website before and made a good return from it? or that you need to put in a lot of work before you start monetizing from it?
