WARNING: DO NOT TAKE EXTENDED VACATIONS or leave property unattended for more than 3 weeks... without getting the prior permission and benevolent blessings of your insurance provider... in writing

After an extended hiatus due to our family home being destroyed by unknown arsonist(s) on Halloween night (we were away at the time), despite an apparent lack of insurance coverage  on any residential properties that are not at least visited during any 30 day period. I am pleased to report that I am now back online (where I belong)

Whether I have been missed or not, today, at least, is a moot point...  I admit that I do feel a bit like like a kid in a candy store...

I am pleased to finally report that my wife and I will be finalizing a deal on a new property as of Dec 29th, 2015 and while it will certainly take us a bit to get back on solid footing (and me up to speed) I have to be a strong believer that when one door closes, another one opens...

Hi All,

I am looking for a way to set up a 'co-op' link rotator (preferrable in Wordpress)

Situation is as follows

I provide users/members with a hosted Website and installed template that has a number of image ad positions (between 4 - 10) in a sidebar.

Each ad image is the same for each page load but when someone clicks on it... it checks with a (remote hosted) list of links (preferably remotely hosted and sends the traffic to the links in order of rotation

AD#1 image 1
click 01 = domain.cxx/affid=0001
click 02 = domain.cxx/affid=0002
click 03 = domain.cxx/affid=0003
click 04 = domain.cxx/affid=0004
click 05 = domain.cxx/affid=0001
click 06 = domain.cxx/affid=0002
click 07 = domain.cxx/affid=0003
click 08 = domain.cxx/affid=0004
...
click 12 = domain.cxx/affid=0004
click 13 = domain.cxx/affid=0001
etc

Each ad position (1 ... 10) would need to have a separate list of links to rotate through...
for each user




Is there a way in Wordpress Multi-site to lock the access to some sidebar widgets to network admin so that sub-site users cannot change the content?

Ideally I am looking for either  state.domain.org/city/industry/uniquebusiness or domain.org/state/city/industry/uniquebusiness
*** an /industry/ would be nice option on master domain but is not necessary (can always pick up an industry-centric domain***

My first 'issue' is where do I install the 'master' WP in order to allow users to manage the uniquebusiness posts/pages/ of a specific 'city'. The plan is to 'rent/lease/license' the 'portal' on a city-by-city basis to those with already established connections in their area/industry/territory (restaurants/hotels/mechanics/etc)

at the moment intention is to use PremiumPress templates and plugin(s) for directory, jobs, coupons with a potential for classifieds etc as well... is PP a suitable/ best option for this type of site?

So I guess my question is/are:
1) How 'deep' can you go with WPMU when using path-based arrangement?
2) Can the sub-domain and path-based combined?

one suggestion was to not use /industry/ at all, make the WPMU install at the 'state' and make the /city/ simply the category - yes or no?

looking for input and willing to assign cities for appropriate levels of assistance

Seems that there are several packages available lately that 'automate' creating product images... ecovers, boxes, books, etc.

These are usually promoted as being Photoshop plugins... but rarely indicate which version of PS.

Also do they work in open source, free  or other graphics programs, ie; Gimp, Inkscape
