Marketing Talk / Re: Fiverr?
« on: November 30, 2014, 04:56:49 PM »
To be honest, I don't believe in all those real traffic, real likes, real followers gigs so can't give you a proper advice. There are plenty of posts about traffic gigs on Fiverr forum, so if you have some time to spare, you might want to go through at least some of them before making a purchase, if nobody answers you here.

Also, you should be aware that driving untargeted traffic to your page is not guarantee you'll get subscribers.

Marketing Talk / Re: Any Twitter tips to share?

First, let me say -  :welcome:

... I have often clicked through to a persons website, shocked that they are a professional of some sort, most people sound like teenagers

This might be because of 140 characters rule - you can't sound very adult when you have only 140 characters to express your thoughts (which are often complicated enough so you could write a whole book)

I'm not using it, but I believe it's because of all the options and features it offers. On first sight it looks like a really powerful tool with only minimum limitations and I guess that could be the answer to your question.

Mastering PLR & MRR Products / Re: Question regarding Reselling products?
« on: October 25, 2014, 08:43:09 AM »
Jryates, sorry - maybe unprofessional wasn't the right word but couldn't think of better at the moment. I was talking only about transferring already written the code into picture, not about using already made sales pages.

The point of using already made sales pages is to save your time so you don't have to write the whole code completely. However, it's always recommended to add your personal touch to those pages to make them unique and more profitable. There's nothing wrong or unprofessional in it.

On the other side, when you use one big image instead of actual code, you're risking looking unprofessional to your visitors (as they do know the difference between text and image) and you may be hurting your business. Search engines don't read the content from images so can't rank you correctly. Also, visitors with slow internet connection, just as mobile/tablet users, most likely won't wait for image to load and will leave your page before even seeing the whole content and some users, even if they'll wait won't be able to see the image due to browser/network/something else settings.

This is why I said it's unprofessional - by using image instead of real code you're telling your visitors that - you have no idea what you're doing, you don't care at all about their browsing experience, you don't respect your product enough to spend some time and effort on its promotion and that all you care about is the money your buyers should give you.

... I hope I am allowed to do this.
...

I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to do that. However, please, just - don't do that. There are ore than a few reasons why not - from that's not professional, to technical things like slow site loading, SEO, mobile optimization etc etc etc.

There are several ways you can use the sales pages besides Wordpress. For example, you can take any, but really any hosting, one domain with subdomains and just upload the sales pages there. It requires even less effort than your current process of 'setting up' the sales pages...

Off Topic Forum / Information, moral, ethics, responsibility etc..
« on: October 19, 2014, 03:21:22 PM »
I don't feel like Product Requests are good place to discuss this topic and I'd like to hear what you think about this, so I'm opening this (after reading this: http://resell-rights-weekly.com/forum/productrequests/bundle-of-survival-prepper-plr/). My questions are not really about ebola but that's actual topic so I'll take it as example.

Ebola is hot topic. Like, really hot. People are searching for details, there are plenty of PLR materials ready to be used and with just a little effort it shouldn't be hard to make money from this. However, facts and statistics are boring and will not make people buy something. Manipulation using fear and drama, on the other side, will.

This weekend I went through some rewritten PLR articles about ebola, survival guides etc and most of them were all like - we are all going to die, nothing you hear in news is true, if you want to live, you'll buy this survival guide. And then, survival guide says - prepare your bags and be ready to leave the city as soon as you hear about ebola patient near your city  :shocked2:

I know I would never ever create that kind of product where sales depend on someones fears and I would feel responsible for acts of every single person who bought my survival guide, but want to hear - would you? How do you approach topics like this? Do you just skip these niches, use them with all drama included or risk to earn a bit less money and create product with as little drama as possible? Do you ever think about these moral and responsibility things while creating your product?

OK, you really don't need detailed tutorial to blur something on the picture.

Quick step-by-step:

- open gimp
- open image you want to edit
- on left side find blue drop icon, it looks like this:

- click on it
- some options will appear and you can change brush size/strength/opacity but basic preferences should be fine so you don't have to
- click and drag the mouse cursor over the parts you want to blur, just like you'd do if you're painting something
- save your image when you get the results you want

That's it.

You can find that option in almost every image editor. GIMP if you're looking for something downloadable and free, Photoshop if you'd like something professional and not so free, or you can try with online editors like this one: http://www.fotor.com

Marketing Talk / Re: Anybody know anything about clipjacker?
« on: October 12, 2014, 07:41:54 AM »
Oh, I see now - main difference is that Vidmy is making money on your AdSense account while this one has its own ads system. Also, there is no affiliate system on Vidmy. Everything else is pretty much the same. I'm not sure how Facebook would treat those videos tho...

Sure, I'll send you the link, but there's not much tips to share about this kind of sites - their concept is really simple - you find videos, submit videos to your Vidmy/Clipjacker/something else site, then post those video links to different places to get viewers and earn money via ads.

Is this something like Vidmy? Haven't heard of this one before, but I'm using Vidmy and am really satisfied with the results.

Sorry, but first thing I saw after opening the page was that awful video screen and my first impulse was to close the page. I just couldn't read the content after seeing that screen as a welcome to the page.
