Hi Claire,
As Terry mentioned some of the older ones have really outdated plugins. So be sure to double check that.

I just installed the Solo Ads Blog which is from 2014. After finishing I updated all that WP detected needed it. Everything seems to be working ok. One small item with the theme which is custom for the PLR Blogs ... I get an error when I go into some plugin setting pages. The error is related to the theme but so far I haven't seen any issues on the site and the changes within the various plugins work fine.

Also, be aware there may be issues with the promoted items. In the case of the Solo Ads Blog the promoted items are no longer available. I searched Clickbank and found new ones to set up ... worked like a charm.

I also recommend you find the download in RRW for setting these up. The YouTube page is outdated but the info within that file is accurate. The filename is NicheBlogVideos61614.zip

Of course review the articles/posts for current relevance and update if needed. In the case of the Solo Ads blog the post articles were pretty generic and evergreen so I was good to go. Just added a new one or two and made some mods to a few of the provided ones. Also, I changed all posting dates. Too many are turned off if the date is really old and they seem to not take the time to actually read it and see that the info still applies regardless of when it was created. Heck, I've had buyers want to return a purchase because a file or folder date was too old in their opinion.  *duh*

Anywho ... hope this helps.

Hi Alan,
LOL ... sorry, didn't mean to get all techy but it's difficult to discuss the topic without going there.

If you add their domain as an Add-On domain it will look normal in a browser ...

lytchettminsterrugbyclub.com

Doing it this way makes it a subdomain ...

lytchnettminsterrugbyclub.alasteward.com

To maintain their brand and any past work done I recommend you do it as an Add-On domain. This is very easy to do within your Gold hosting control panel.

I hope this helps.

Welcome Alan,
If you don't mind I'll jump in here and respond to your question.

You are correct about add-on domains but subdomains look like

subdomain.yourdomainname.com

They can also be accessed like this:

yourdomainname.com/subdomain

I am a Gold member but I don't have an account with Mark. I have dedicated servers so I figure I'll leave that to folks who need it. That said ...

Mark and I use the same server setups. The new cPanel allows multiple ways to have the directory structure setup.

The traditional way was, and still can be to have any subdomains in /home/<username>/public_html like this ...

/home/<username>/public_html/subdomain/

or

/home/<username>/public_html/addondomain.com

The new setup does allow subdomains to be below the public_html folder like this ...

/home/<username>/subdomain.yourdomainname.com

I Haven't tried adding a AddOn domain since this change but assume that applies with those as well. Personally I like that as it helps me keep things organized better.

Hope this is helpful

Technical Assistance / Re: Payment problem

Unbelieveable! Like Jerome I have been with RRW a long long time ... not around the forum much in the past year or two but always a member.

Mark's reputation is beyond reproach and I, for one, will stand by that statement, and Mark, tooth and nail.

Having been in IM for 15-20 years I've seen A LOT in the way of scammers but these days it really seems to be much worse than any other time. If those who take all the time and effort to con or outright steal from others would put as much work into doing something legit we'd all have a much better reputation.

If you're familiar with Andy Brooklehurst you might know he has started a campaign to clean up IM. I encourage all to back him in this effort. Google him or search Facebook for his recent post about this. We will all reap the benefits.

Side note ... is this person at the helm of the recent attacks. Timing is uncanny.

High Five Mark,
Once it dawned on me that was a possibility, and you posted in another thread confirming it, I had every confidence you'd prevail. Good on you brother.  :I'm Not Worthy:

Never mind ... I just found where it says the locked file can only be ran on a PC as well. Instead of deleting the post I'll leave it here in case someone else jumps in before they find the answer.

Hi Everyone,
Hope you all are doing well.

I have just downloaded Viral Master List Builder and I love the concept, always have. I used to use ZipBrander all the time but it doesn't work properly any long. I was so excited to see Viral Master List Builder in this months downloads.

I haven't actually tried it yet but I wouldn't be able to test for myself anyway because the question is regarding whether it works on all platforms. Mac, iPhone and Android.

I know the software id PC only but wondering if the branded copy your distributing will open and trigger the registration on platforms other than PC. As I mentioned I don't have a Mac or an iPhone to try it. Has anyone given it a try on those OS's?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Best Regards,
Mike

Product/Service Reviews / My $0.2 regarding MailX
« on: May 03, 2016, 09:57:10 AM »
Hey Everyone,
I assume you have seen the promotions for Mailx the last few days. I HAVE not bought it so I honestly can't speak of any specifics but wanted to mention two red alerts I have.

1: It really isn't free mailing. The seller states you'll need a relay service such as SMTP.com, Green Arrow or whatever you prefer.

I do believe if you want awesome delivery you should look into these services BUT IMHO it goes against the premise of the offer.

2: I have been managing mail systems/servers for about 15 years. I've seen a TON of these one time payment mailer systems pop up. NOT ONE last more than a year and I'm being generous there in case there's one I haven't seen. Not likely but possible none the less.

Mailers are not something that's sustainable over the long term with a one off payment. Just can't be done ... the overhead is a moving target.

If you're wanting to give it a try ... by all means. Just wanted to post these food for thought items.

Here is a feature rich option that is FREE ....

Disclaimer: I have only contacted support one time and response was pretty good. Also, I have JUST started trying it out so can't comment on the long term stability. I do think it's worth giving it a try ... what do you have to lose.

Awesome Share Mark .... Thank You

Thank you Wayne ... I found it. Sent a PM reply.

You're welcome Jim. It's a great plugin and I'm going to give it a go again to see if it works with the current version of WP. I'll come back and let everyone know.

WOW .... has it been over 5 years already??? So sorry Wayne for not making it back here and not sure if the plugin is still alive but did want to say it worked perfectly to get RRW sales pages up quick and easy.

In fact I'm digging for it again to try using it for some lead gen pages and upsells for the freebie offer.

Will be sending you a PM Wayne.
