I think even if you go through updating this beast you will be disappointed with the performance.

I recently  updated an old laptop with Linux Ubuntu  because I wanted to play with it. its ok and I was bored with it within a week not that Ubunto is a bad operating system its just that I put it on a crummy computer and the performance sucked.

Technical Assistance / Re: How do I get my images in html to show?
« on: December 10, 2014, 11:50:48 AM »
When you cut and paste html code you must  be careful with images.  Basically when you see an image  on a website the code is pointing to an image folder where the site is hosted.  i have never used weebly but most likely you will have to download images and then upload them to the weebly server

I believe that is perfectly fine. There are lots of people that also create their own sales page and the sing up button goes to that sign up page. In fact that is a good lesson for everyone. You should try your own sales pages to promote something you like.

I was interested in that product. But by the time I got to thinking of buying it the price had doubled.

I purchased a similar product years ago but it failed miserably

Yes

I was able to go in through the database and change the user information through mysql table.  Looks like lots of bugs when you use wp clone.  This would make sense though you set up wordpress which automatically sets up a database and then you import a new database.

Has anyone tried to set up amazon affiliate golf store?

It seems that it uses the wp clone script which worked fine  mygolfbag.us

There is only one problem though .... when the script is run it changes the database admin profile and now I cant log into the admin area of website.  I went into database but the admin password is encrypted there.

Do I need to contact Sonicpiont???  They usually arent too helpfull

I don't like adsense

The minute you start to make any money google will find a reason to suspend your account.

If you have shared hosting and you use word press you will have problems with memory and resources. Its just the way it is. Wordpress is a resource hog.

when I started using wordpress a while back I had meny problems with hosting companies. I now have a resseller hosting account and i put each website on its own account. I have an excelent hosting company that unlike others allocates seperate memory and resources to each account so if one of my sites goes crazy or gets spammed by comment posters, only that account gets throttled. Most other hosting companies will suspend the whole account.

If you cant afford reseller hosting then you need to install a good caching plug in.
