Marketing Talk / Re: Blog Posts And Calls To Action
« on: August 05, 2013, 06:22:03 AM »
My answer would be - yes and no.

Asking the readers to do something in each and every post may be a bit too pushy and could make the visitors feel pressured, but if done in the right way will give the awesome results as readers will feel like active participants and not just a visitors.

My personal choice would be using different NLP techniques.

I wonder if Sasquatch could be a North American version of the orangutan?

I don't see why not.

4. Although male orangutans can reach weights of 300lbs they spend at least 90% of their time up trees eating fruit, insects and vegetation.

This one would explain why people don't see them - noone's looking up to find a giant monkey. And I can't do anything but laugh thinking of a giant monkey sitting on the tree eating ants one by one  :toothy12:

Thank you for the warning, oldnick. I had a similar spam problem in the past, but not with the domain on GoDaddy (I don't actually remember where the domain was purchased, but it was via some of the local registrars). The issue was solved in no time and with just a few mails, and I thought that is the standard procedure of unblocking 'spammed' domains. I'm quite surprised to see it isn't.
Well, I guess this is one more reason to transfer GoDaddy domains to another registrar as soon as possible after the purchase.

Well, if I can believe in fairies, I can believe in Sasquatch too. As long as it is habited far far away from me, I'm fine with it  (off course, I wouldn't believe in it if I'd know it lives only few miles away - that would be too scary  )

That only seems to work for me.
The rest of you have to work at it.

LOL

 :I'm Not Worthy:

I believe that you need to have a web presence in as many places as you can.  The most important presence though is the one you have where your audience hangs out.

If they're forum people then you need to be making quality posts on those forums.
If they're video people yhen you need a space on Youtube.
If they're bloggers then you need a blog  and you need to be leaving quality comments on their posts..

Basicly you need to be evreywhere so that you're in front of your audience when they arrive at whereever they are going

Basically, I could agree with you. But I have to say that I don't see the point in being everywhere. Creating a quality content, even if we're talking only about the commercial material requires some time, and I can think of plenty of better ways to spend that time than to deal with material that will most likely not help in bringing traffic to the site.

Those are great tips, krafa! Thank you very much

Marketing Talk / Re: Facebook Marketing Strategies
« on: July 28, 2013, 05:19:58 PM »
i believe there is no universal Facebook strategy that will work for everyone. It's all about the proper way of communication with people there and you can't communicate the same way with potential business partners, teen customers or large target groups of people that should give you the traffic.

Only few things are always the same:
- posts should be published regularly - depending on the topic and target group, once a day, twice a day, every hour - whatever work the best for the group of people you'd like to attract.
- targeted ads
- connecting with the other groups and pages
- communication with the group - writing a post is never enough - every like, share and answer to the comment count on FB

Is there a good way to post new products to Facebook,Twitter, and Pinterest with at the minimum of effort?

Targeted ads can always help. But i agree with snginc - outsourcing is always the way if you don't feel like working

I also find giveaways a good way to build one's email list. I myself read blogs and enter contests too.  But may I ask what exactly is foreshadowing or using foreshadow? I am clueless as to what that is. Of course, Google will always be there but would be nice to hear it from someone whod done it.

Foreshadowing is something like 'coming soon' hints that will attract the readers and make them subscribe. I.e. - we will have a nice giveaway in a week or two, so if you'd like to be informed on time leave us your e-mail.

Marketing Talk / Re: How Keyword Help to Grow Your Website
« on: July 14, 2013, 03:28:41 PM »
I just have to agree this is a great post! Keywords are really important part of every webpage and they should be treated that way.

... I would also love to read articles or tips about long tail keywords. I think they are also critical in the sense that it has low keyword competition. So could we maximize it and how to find or make a long tail keyword with low competition?

I'm just about to test the theory about long tail keywords on one of the pages that I just can't get to the first page of search engines due to the too common keywords so will let you know :)

... Have done it in the past and have gathered more than 2, 000 email addresses in three days. ...

I've never asked him about the results, so didn't have a clue that numbers could be that high. The number of 2k emails in just a 3 days is quite impressive (at least I see it that way).

I will have to check with him how sales are going.

This is really nice and clear sum up  :::tu The only problem is that people too often don't have patience to wait for visitors to come. They want it all, right now, at the very same moment when domain is active.

Hi rachix,

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to solve this. Looks like your account has been marked as duplicate account. The only thing you can do is to call Paypal (forget emails - just google until you find the right number and call) and hear what exactly is the issue. If you have two accounts, you will most likely just need to forget them. If this is about entering the same credit card on two accounts, you can forget about using that credit card on Paypal again. They are quite tight with their rules and it's often impossible to get the account(s) back.

Sorry  :-\

I'm not much into mailing lists, but have a friend who is. Whenever he needs a new targeted list he creates a - giveaway. I have to say that I really love his idea.

People love getting free things, or just getting the opportunity to get something for free. And giving the right prize will attract just the right group of people. For example, if he needs drivers, his giveaway will be about cars. If he's looking for parents, his giveaway will be about toys or something like that, etc.

After his giveaway is set up on the micropage,  he spread a word around using social networks and his lists are full in no time.
