It's been a long tome. I hope you're all in good health. I can't complain, that bit older, knees are a bit creaky. Still trying to move forward in IM. I've bookmarked the site again so no excuses. From what I've been reading Mark hasn't been around for a while.Hope things ok with him. Look forward to replies, in case I've forgotten you all.

Hi Folks,

Just to let you know I'm not a deserter...lol. Haven't been on here for weeks. Over the last few weeks I have lost interest, don't know why, couldn't get the motivation. It might sound weird but that's the way I have been feeling. There is something on my mind on a daily basis, maybe that's the issue. I haven't totally given up. I will be back when the time is right.

Hope you all are in good spirits. Will be back.....

Off Topic Forum / Hospital For me!

Hi,

As I said in a previous post I haven't been around for some time, been doodling about trying different things and buying to many products, good ones I might add.

Anyway, on Wed 14th I'm going into Glasgow Royal Infirmary for an op, cyst on my ankle. Initially told it would be keyhole, but no. They have to make an incision, break my ankle, move it out of the way, get rid of the cyst. They then make another incision round the knee area scrape some bone away and replace where the cyst was. Off work for a max 12 weeks, good and bad. hopefully have plenty of time to do something online.

In between the pain (have a bad pain threshold....lol.)I'll be in here quite often to catch up.

Off Topic Forum / Caring For Your Parents.

Hi Folks,

I'm back again. I was up at my mum and dads for 9 days. His mobility is not the same anymore. He now needs help in getting up in the morning, showered and dressed. He now has to use a walking aid, or zimmer as it's called over here. However, he's a picture of health, eats well, sleeps night....and day. He's also now got the early stages of dementia. Have to see how that progresses. it gave my older brother and my sister a break these days I was home. My younger brother was at home last month.

I never thought I would have to help care for my dad. I salute everyone who has to care for a parent, it's an ongoing job that needs to be done. There is no way that mum could manage on her own. She is now 84 and dad is 87.

Hi Folks,

I've had Win 7 for a few months now. I would have preferred Win XP to be honest. However, one thin that annoys me. When downloading, whether it's files or whatever it goes straight to the download folder in the document folder on my desktop. What I prefer is for me to choose a folder for my downloads to go into especially files from RRW. I don't have that option. Anyone on here tell me how to change that, if it's possible to do so. I use FF.

Hi,

I haven't forgotten you guys at all. The last few weeks my computer back in for repair, nothing major. I get it back, hopefully this Friday. I have had to get the old one out of the cupboard. It's very slow and I haven't done much IM whatsoever, didn't even do much on eBay. This is my first visit for a while but soon will be back on a regular basis. Hope everyone is keeping well and still enjoying their work.

I haven't even been speaking to Dom for ages.... I see Howard Roper often on my Facebook page. I haven't messaged him for some time but I see regular posts. he seems to be ok. I will message him soon for an update. I will talk soon.

Off Topic Forum / Moving House

Hi Folks,

Haven't been in for a couple of weeks or so. I didn't do any IM or nothing. Ten days ago started packing to move house. Fortunatley it was not far to move. Day 1 and Day 3 my daughter and myself moved all the boxes. Day 2 borrowed son in laws van to move the heavy stuff. Legs still agony...lol. Finished clearing the old flat today and now settled in to the new gaff.

Getting grief from the missus. I can be a bit of a hoarder, and seem to take stuff she says I  should get rid off...lol. I  said to her today I would go through these boxes and get rid of the stuff I don't 'need'..lol. In a way she is right to an extent, I need this and that etc........decision made.

Next time I move, it will be the removal men who will move my stuff.
