The biggest thing I miss about GR is the ability to move a subscriber from one list to another with no interacion from that subscriber. AW, it would appear, has no intention of adding that feature.  *duh*

It was easy for me to cancel. I just pulled my Paypal subscription and then emailed them to let them know.   X::X

Their tech support was ridiculously awful. They don't even know their own product.

I should have mentioned off the top that I'm only using this as a landing page from paid advertising (Adwords specifically for now). The keywords I'm using are laser targeted to this area (in this example they're targeted to this exact furnace - I'll be creating many more).

Having said that, I get your points loud and clear.

I'm zonked so I'll have to take some time to digest this tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the slow to load part is the host. Once the site is done-ish I'll be moving it to a VPS.

Hi guys and gals,

I was hoping I could get some feedback on a squeeze page I'm working on.

This is for an offline business that I own. I'm really trying to separate myself from my competition (none of whom have a clue about the online world - they all use a shotgun approach).

Apparently they haven't met the PayPal Dispute Monster yet. Slam dunk refund even if it's just because I don't like the color of the buttons. Of course I'd do the right thing and nuke it from my computer if I did that.

Ok...I bought it.

Couple of first impressions (although likely have nothing to do with the actual operation of it).

1) It's not actually installed - it runs from a folder. Very low-rent IMHO. No biggie as long as it works.

2) Don't know if it works yet since the developer has to manually activate it after you send the paypal info. It says it can take "several hours". If they're in Helsinki (or somewhere else I've never been) it may take longer. That's not very impressive at all.

Hopefully these are just minor annoyances.

Where to begin?

1) To me this just looks like another who cares built for adsense site. Is anyone *really* going to go there and read any of the "reviews". I doubt it. It just looks spammy to me. There are millions of sites out there just like it. To make things worse I'm greeted by a huge Digital Marketer banner ad right at the top of your site (it's Adsense so it will vary by visitor).

2) Sorry but it's clear English is not your first language. The spelling and grammar is horrendous. I couldn't make it through a paragraph without spazzing out.  ;;:B If you want it to work you'll need someone to proof read it - all of it.  :shocked2:

3) Have to agree with Jerome on the domain. Any time Stuhrling wants to they can pull the rug out from under you. Do you have the funds to defend a copyright/trademark violation lawsuit? They could even get ICANN to take the domain from you and give it to them. It's happened a lot of times in the past. If it was a PR8 site I guarantee you they would. To them it's insignificant I'm sure.

4) There is nothing exciting about the design at all. I would expect a much more elegant and eye-popping design for a review site of high-end anything. I think it would be clear to most that this is simply a Google bait site.

5) 3 years is a LOT of time to invest to get your site to a PR1. You should easily be a 5 or 6 with that much time and that narrow of a focus (although as Jerome notes you review lots more than what the domain suggests). I'd say Google has figured out what your site is and is penalizing it heavily.

6) When the first couple of sentences of one of your posts is "Join the crowd! Watches have become one of the most popular online purchases." - you've lost me. Watches are dieing a horrible and violent death. Don't try to BS me into thinking that they're that popular. I'm sure hamster cages are more "popular" online than watches. I'm a prime watch customer (I'm old enough to remember them well and I can afford to buy pretty much whatever I want) and I haven't owned one for 20 years or more. Cell phone - hello!

Sorry I don't have anything positive to say. I just can't find anything. Tough love.....

I have to admit it's getting really tiring that whenever there's a conversation about email services that you have to chime in with your affiliate link.

I, for one, for that very reason, would go out of my way to make sure you didn't get a commission out of it.

This has been one of those unwritten rules since the mid-nineties - DON'T SPAM YOUR AFFILIATE LINK!  *duh*

Yeah, I think JunkyMonkey (TM) - crap...domain is already gone  *duh* - I'm going with that from now on for Mailchimp - is just looking for the low hanging fruit.

Dentists and accountants that send monthly newsletters to their clients.

They don't want the risk that comes with IM - which is stupid since double opt-in negates that risk anyways.  8)shh
