I haven't been in here for a while and I see new, really great ideas have been added since my last visit. I'm going to be checking them out.

Thank you for the suggestions.

This whole thread is just what I need.

I tend to be more of a visual person when I'm learning something (except, that is, when I'm reading directions and trying to figure out how to put the vacuum cleaner together ;D ) so your examples especially, Mark, have been most helpful.

And thank you to the rest of you for your input.

Hey pals, please let's list the
1000 Unique Ways To Maximize The Profit Potential In PLR

Just List your own ideas, not necessarily in an order of priority.
You are free to be creative!

Here the list starts.

1. Edit Your PLR To Make It Totally UNIQUE In Every Way!

Okay, I'm not quite sure if this is along the line you're thinking, but here goes.

2. Combine several of the PLR articles with the same theme/subject into an ebook.
3. Create an e-course on a specific could even use the material you put into your ebook.
4. Conduct a teleseminar using the same theme
5. Record the teleseminar for audio and distribute the audio recording
6. Make a video of you reading the ebook or the e-course

Am I at 1,000 yet?  ;D

And thanks, Mark, for those ideas. I especially like your suggestions for how to get started.

Hi Mark

Thank you for posting the link to this Plugin and the ebook.

I love new software and this looks like it will be great for my blog.

Marketing Talk / Re: Blog Sold For $15,000,000
« on: November 20, 2008, 09:39:32 AM »
I think I could live on that!  ;D

Well, I could live on that, too.  Yay all of us!  ;C

However, as you might guess, I suppose there has to be a "party pooper" in all this hoopla!  (Me?) Unfortunately, no one has mentioned "taxes"!  :'( :''(

So he won't be getting a true $15,000,000. Even with anything invested, I'm thinking, still sooner or later something of that gets taxed.

It sure would be nice to be faced with those decisions, though.  :-)

Marketing Talk / Re: FORUM RULES! Be sure to read before you post!
« on: August 28, 2008, 12:04:22 PM »

Just wanted to congratulate you and to thank you for this great forum.  I am visually challenged and I can read the posts without any major squinting!  It is clear, clean and so easy to read.

Without seeming like a broken record (since I've said this in other threads already), I want to echo Sonia's comment that this is a great forum.

Further, like Sonia, I really like the layout because it is clear, clean and easy to read. Unlike Sonia, I'm fortunately not visually challenged--other than having the "malady" that comes with being a little bit higher up on "life's spectrum". Or from not eating enough carrots when I was younger.  ;D

So for me, the color layout is also a good choice.

Marketing Talk / Re: Is Article Marketing That Important?
« on: August 25, 2008, 03:20:50 PM »
Great article and information, Jim. Thank you for your insight.

And to reiterate the title of this thread, article marketing really is that important.

In fact, it's important that we all use as many avenues as we can find to get ourselves noticed.

Oh, and Mark, thank you again, for making this Forum available...and for sharing so generously.

Marketing Talk / Re: Must Have Software

Hi Ed,

You're welcome.

About Skype and safeness.  Good question.  I suppose you'd have to define what you mean by "safe".
I do know that one time I was in a conference on Skype with several others and all of a sudden some man joined in our conversation. And, when he wouldn't "leave" at our request, we all left and came back in on a different connection.

Some of the people I'm in a group with use it all time for U.S. as well as International telephone calls...I use it more for instant messaging and the occasional verbal chat.

In other words, I suppose if you're plotting something quite confidential you probably wouldn't want to use Skype.

On the other hand, Skype is still in business so they must be doing something right. Or its good outweighs the possible bad.

How's that for almost completely skirting the question?   :)

Wow, just wow!

He's so "cute"!   :)  (I know what they can grow into.)

You did a fine job with your camera work.

Hi Janice,

It's nice to meet you!

As Jim said, there's certainly lots to read and learn about here.

I'm still getting my feet wet. But it's all good.

Marketing Talk / Re: Must Have Software
« on: August 22, 2008, 12:43:47 PM »
Oh good, I want to play.  Ideas for new software.  My weakness! ;D And favorite subject.

Jim: Thank you for suggesting Roboform. I've not heard of that so now I'll just have to check it out.   :)

Jacob: You've got a great list. I've used Kaspersky; it drove me nuts!  I liked it but I think I may have had it set too rigidly. I'm thinking about maybe revisiting it again, though.

Jim: I've used (or tried to, that is) Gimp. It's really cool but I still haven't figured it out. I don't know Photo shop so that's probably why.

However, I do use Carbonite online backup. (I like the colors: green and purple and white pages. Green dot, your files are backed up. Yellow dot: file is pending for backup. Green dot with a hole is something but I don't remember what right now.  :)  I think it's $4.95/month.

Prior to that, I used Mozy for online backup.  (Free for up to 2GB and home usage.)

I also like NVU. It's free! I know a bit of html code and usually use NotePad, and have managed to work around and make minor changes now and then to my Web site. If I want to make a change and don't know how to do the code, I put it into NVU and get the code that way. Of course, I know there are other uses for NVU, too.

I got my 800 number from Kall8 for $2/month. I've set it up so the number is associated with my regular home line. When people call my 800 number it calls our house line, Kall8 answers it. A message is left online for me in my Kall8 account. Kall8 sends me an email with a link to the number that just called me. I then return the person's call on my land line, using my unlimited long distance. You can also receive faxes via Kall8 in much the same procedure.

I use TrustFax for my fax number. It's also an online system.

Oh, and Skype.  Love Skype. It's great for instant messaging. And there is paid telephone access, too. I don't use that feature so I don't know the cost. But I believe it's fairly reasonable. I can, however, call someone in my Skype list (on the internet, and the call is free.) And you can conference over Skype.

I use e-junkie ($5/month) to handle signup and distribution of my ebook.

Well, I've got a few more but I'll give others a chance to chime in here.  ;D
