Oh good, I want to play. Ideas for new software. My weakness!

And favorite subject.
Jim: Thank you for suggesting Roboform. I've not heard of that so now I'll just have to check it out. :)
Jacob: You've got a great list. I've used Kaspersky; it drove me nuts! I liked it but I think I may have had it set too rigidly. I'm thinking about maybe revisiting it again, though.
Jim: I've used (or tried to, that is) Gimp. It's really cool but I still haven't figured it out. I don't know Photo shop so that's probably why.
However, I do use Carbonite online backup. (I like the colors: green and purple and white pages. Green dot, your files are backed up. Yellow dot: file is pending for backup. Green dot with a hole is something but I don't remember what right now. :) I think it's $4.95/month.
Prior to that, I used Mozy for online backup. (Free for up to 2GB and home usage.)
I also like NVU. It's free! I know a bit of html code and usually use NotePad, and have managed to work around and make minor changes now and then to my Web site. If I want to make a change and don't know how to do the code, I put it into NVU and get the code that way. Of course, I know there are other uses for NVU, too.
I got my 800 number from Kall8 for $2/month. I've set it up so the number is associated with my regular home line. When people call my 800 number it calls our house line, Kall8 answers it. A message is left online for me in my Kall8 account. Kall8 sends me an email with a link to the number that just called me. I then return the person's call on my land line, using my unlimited long distance. You can also receive faxes via Kall8 in much the same procedure.
I use TrustFax for my fax number. It's also an online system.
Oh, and Skype. Love Skype. It's great for instant messaging. And there is paid telephone access, too. I don't use that feature so I don't know the cost. But I believe it's fairly reasonable. I can, however, call someone in my Skype list (on the internet, and the call is free.) And you can conference over Skype.
I use e-junkie ($5/month) to handle signup and distribution of my ebook.
Well, I've got a few more but I'll give others a chance to chime in here.
