my earlier comments re agenda still stand

for example this latest recommended watchdog... judgebinaryoptions, which on one-hand encourages you to "avoid binary option trading scams that follow the too-good-to-be-true mentality" and if you’re actually looking for a profitable way to supplement your income online through binary options "look towards more reliable services such as the 'proven' Copybuffett binary option trading systems!" 

and yet on the other...  this very same ultimate "judge, the jury and the executioner regarding all things related to binary options" states that the CopyBuffet system "doesn’t make any money" and warning investors to "stay away from this ridiculous scam" with the suggestion to either use Buffet’s "REAL" investment techniques, or just choose a "binary options system which is honest and could produce profits", such as E***** T** R***"

just tiny bit of research will usually provide at least some semblance of enlightenment as to their bias...

How do you know?

Are you maybe basing that position on the 'fact' that there is an author 'profile' page?  or that the author's "name" is listed?

there is no form of personal information of any kind on the author's profile page  (https://www.free-ebooks.net/profile/390365/michael-dlouhy) other than the link to the book... hardly what one would expect from someone as savy as Mr. Dlouhy.

Nor, as you say, is there any indication that he relinguished any rights to the work... which is clearly indicative, or should be at least, that it is not acceptable to assume one has liberty to do anything at all in the way of  'rebranding', 'repurposing', 'resale' or even (re)distribution

hmmm... should not any 'checking' be done with the actual author??? 

if for no other reason that to determine if ANY 'repurpose' rights have been ever granted to ANYONE; the original poster here, free-books.net or anywhere else?  And also to verify if anyone that may have been granted some permission to use, were in fact also given the right to remove copyright and other legal notifications, identification of the original author, and other liberties... as evidenced in the ebook that was made available here.

Sorry Jerome, but while I appreciate your checking into this I have to disagree with your finding/opinion for the following reasons:

just because something is "given away" DOES NOT mean that they are granting any sort of rights  nor relinquishing any degree of control or permission to change the content or remove the author contact information or copyright.

"My purpose is to share what I’ve learned in nearly 30 years in network marketing, and present a 10-step success plan you can use with ANY network marketing opportunity." DOES NOT give permission to plagarize

your observation that...

Other things done right from a repurposing content standard point:
*created a new ebook cover (the original shows Michael and his wife).
*The author removed all the parts that have Michael's name in it. (which is what you are supposed to do when your properly repurpose content especially if you arent a part of the mentoring for free program)
*Link to Color of Success has been personalized (some people forget to change links that sometimes)

highlight changes that are legitimate if, and ONLY IF, those specific rights were granted by the actual author and specifically to the person making said changes

otherwise any original content created by anyone, whether to be sold, or 'given away' (or even simply created for sake of creation)... as an opt-in reward, loss leader, bonus etc,... would be 'fair game' for 'rebranding', 'repurposin'g, or 'resale" by any, and every, person that simply makes minor changes, like  creating a new cover image, personalizing a link, or removing small segments that identify the actual author.

Someone might want to check with the actual author (Michael Dlouhy) about exactly what rights area legally available with this book before ever promoting it

Simply putting a new cover or removing the author's contact and legal disclaimers hardly qualifies as the granting of resale rights of any sort or "repurposing" IMO, but what do I know.
