Marketing Talk / Re: Teespring T-shirts
« on: October 07, 2013, 02:02:18 PM »
Please don't take offense, but I wonder if your design is not too targeted?  I would imagine only a particular segment of the population would be comfortable wearing a US flag with a rifle on it, and with the school shootings, not something Moms are going to buy for children?
Now, if the design had anything to do with Zombies...... :toothy12:

Product Requests / Any Slideshow Creator like Tube Raider?
« on: October 07, 2013, 01:42:42 PM »
Not really a request for a product, more wondering if we already have anything here :)  I am looking at this http://tube-raider-masterclass.com/tube-raider/ and wondering if we don't already have software like it in RRW?  Or any suggestions guys? (Not powerpoint, and I own Incansofts cruddy one already)

Ok, totally get that, thanks! ;C

You think that one of us who is a member here has the same pull with product sellers, as Mark as the owner does?

If you are unsure, your hosting should be able to help you. I remember a while ago that I had the same problem and they did it for me with no problem.  (I always find it so much easier when I DON'T DO IT LOL)

I have an iphone and ipad, butI don't quite understand what you mean? (Unless Dom nailed it first time, which is probable)
I mean, I have apps that do what Office does, and that is the way I edit things on IOS.  Quickoffice was free last week is still free
Code: [Select]
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/quickoffice/id578386521?mt=8 and I picked that up (I used that when I had a Palm lol)
I see Google just bought them out so that is usually bad news (yes, I just looked they don't support dropbox or the box any more, good old taking over the world megalomaniacs that they are) Anyway, there are many apps that you can use.  I even use dropbox to put them onto the ipad/iphone and edit in notes.

Easy!  Lose your job, sit around playing XBOX all day, don't bathe or shave for days and act depressed every chance you get. Oh, and then act romantic.  That will 100% turn off any wife  :high5:
BTW, please teach me - somebody - how to turn off a wife (LOL).

Marketing Talk / Re: Warrior Forum Postings

With a bit of rewording, or maybe a bit more than a "bit" I am sure it would be fine. I mean, much as the recipe can't be copyrighted but the instructions are, if you go through a post and jot down in point form important points and ideas, and then use your own words and ideas combined, that is a new product.

In the bad old days I used to hear people complain that whole segments of their posts had been stolen and used verbatim on WSO's. (James Renouf springs to mind)

Well, this is what I do to write.

1. Turn off internet
2. Turn off children/wife/husband/dog/telephone etc.
3. Pour tumbler of scotch. (OK, maybe that is #1)
4. Turn on computer and get headset ready, turn on Dragon Naturally Speak
5. Bleather on for as long as you can hold a thought. (Beware, the more scotch, the more talk, but the less sense it makes)

Ergo, 500 to 1000 words a minute

OK, I am just joking,(sort of)  but I think a lot of us know exactly what you mean! The first two are really the best for me, no internet, ergo no shiny bright objects to notice :)

Special Offers Forum / Have to say
« on: September 19, 2013, 11:29:27 PM »
OK, I give up.  What is this even doing here?  4 posts, and now you are flogging your WSO?  Is is PLR? Can Mark buy it with rights for us? Will you give us a special RRW deal? (as it is in the Special Offers area) If yes, great. If not, then why are you posting it here? To me this just seems like you are spamming me. I think if we let this happen, what is to stop every other warrior coming over here doing the same thing with their WSO's?

OK. I may be alone in this, but I had to say something. Now, if it were Bill, Karen, Jerome or ANYBODY who is actually part of our rather lovely forum, I would have no problem. But a 4 poster?  That is a problem.

OK, where is that soapbox smilie, 'cause I have to jump off now

Feedback Requests / Dance with the devil?

Going to agree 100% with Jerome on this one! So many hosting nightmare stories!  And don't forget places like Fatwallet and retailmenot for good coupons for new domains and renewals.  OH, and if you decide to go for first year free privacy, but decide that the 10 buck renewal is not really needed, remember that you have to go to domains by proxy before godaddy will allow you to check out without paying that 10 bucks Of course, godaddy owns domains by proxy.

Plus IMHO, the owner is a bit of a wanker, ergo the elephant shooting video. (Actually I went back to a few sites to have a look, and the first 2 had toned down their outraged rhetoric, probably those godaddy lawyers at work, but video is there.   )
LOL OK, off my soapbox now!
Godaddy is good for buying domains but not good for hosting.  Some of my students have had hosting nightmares with them.

I have bought a few things from him, but not software.
Whether you love his products or hate them, you have to laugh at his sales pages! Pretty funny.

The Freebie Forum / Monthly free theme from themeforest (WP)
« on: September 13, 2013, 01:44:34 AM »
I see themeforest has a nice free WP theme this month (they have one every month, but some are a wee bit suspect) http://themeforest.net/item/vintage-immersed-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/2866563?WT.ac=free_file&WT.seg_1=free_file&WT.z_author=designthemes

PS Mark, is it OK to put direct links in the posts?  I am never sure, as I used to drop links all the time when I was in SEO so I think it looks spammy :) Of course this is not spam lol
