Anyone want to share a published RRW site?
« on: September 10, 2008, 02:44:23 PM »
Okay

You,re going to get tired of me whining about being a newbie but I would like to see some
finished products that originated from the weekly DLs.

Of course I understand if you have a concern about competition duplicating a hot niche,
but it won't come from me. I figure I'm a couple of months away from launching anything
given the amount of material here.

If anyone can share an over the shoulder peek at the steps involved in putting one of Mark's sites up,
this newbie would forever be in your debt. ???

Don't get me wrong - I AM EXCITED and spend every free moment on this and then some. Just ask my girlfriend. ;)

Mark, thanks for the links to the sites that you created.  Although I have signed up to receive your free information, I'm really at a point where there's too much information and I'm not sure how to start.  I also don't want to post newbie questions in the wrong part of the forum.  Can you point me in the right direction?  Thanks

Hi Tongyun

Mark recently added some videos to the Online U that i found very helpful.

Go to the Online U and click on Resell Rights Product Setup

I think you'll find these will make things easier.

Hi Mark and Stew.  Thanks for the information.  As soon as I get off work, I'll take at look at the information that is at Online U.  I'm sure I'll have more questions, just because I'm anal that way  ;D but I'd sure like to get started.

This whole thread is just what I need.

I tend to be more of a visual person when I'm learning something (except, that is, when I'm reading directions and trying to figure out how to put the vacuum cleaner together ;D ) so your examples especially, Mark, have been most helpful.

And thank you to the rest of you for your input.

Here's a bit of a d*mb-ass question

I know how to buy domains and change the nameservers etc.

That's fine for single websites but what if I buy a domain name and then add sub domains to it

Say I buy 'Fitnessforever.com' as my main domain name

I then want to add 'vitamins.fitnessforever.com' as a subdomain; how do I go about doing that?

I couldn't see a video for it in the University but if there is one then a link will do for that.

Thanks for any help

Kindest

D

Hi Dom,

It's not a dumb question at all. Here's what you do:

1) Log into your cpanel (http://YourWebsiteName.com/cpanel)
2) Look for the "Subdomain" icon and click on it
3) Enter your subdomain and click "add"

That's it!

Mark

Thanks for the ultra quick reply - very useful

But here's a follow-up question.

I assume that I have to buy the domain name 'vitamins.fitnessforever.com' or am I wrong?

Hi Dom,

Actually, you would only have to register the domain "'fitnessforever.com" ... not the subdomain "vitamins". You would then add "vitamins" through your cpanel as noted above. That would give you vitamins.fitnessforever.com

This is great info!!!!  Until now, I've just been adding pages to my main directory, like...

http://www.ChristianMarriageHelper.com/stressrelief.html

Yes, it's a sales page for one of the products I got off RRW. Sent out the link and a pitch for it to my tiny CMH list yesterday. No sales yet.  :(  But, I was proud of myself for getting the site up, the PayPal button configured properly, and all that.

Now, I know I can improve the domain address.

How about creating a folder within your main domain "fitnessforever.com" called "vitamins" then that index page should show up as fitnessforever.com/vitamins
I think it looks better than than a subdomain, but subdomains are great too I've got a few. You can go the subdomain route or the folder route, either way you don't pay for another domain.
