Amazon search term
« on: February 07, 2011, 08:35:37 AM »
Hi,

It seems to me that ads for Click Bank, Amazon, Adsense and Ebay should be related to the search term I insert into the config file for each website.

I started with testing "bird house" keyword.  Although Amazon sells bird houses, most of the results in the ad block is not even related to birds, to say nothing about bird houses.  How it could be?  And this is not because I am doing something wrong because on my another website the results in Amazon ad block are much better related to my search term.

Click Bank has also a problem with "bird house" keyword. But in this case it is understandable as CB sells no products related to bird houses.

So, as I believe it's better to have no CB products featured than advertise product completely not related to the website topic, sometimes I would love to get rid of CB ads.  Is it possible?

Results in the Google Adsense ad block are poorly related to my topic as well.  Only Ebay gives correct results...

Is it only me who has this problem?

Maggie

Hi Maggie

I just wanted to drop a quick note to see if you are aware that it can take a couple of days for adsense ads to 'sync' with your keywords and content. As far as amazon and clickbank goes you might want to extend the terms to nature-related terms, or maybe gear like binocs, hiking gear, etc. I find that I getter better conversion results if I somewhat target the 'edges' rather than only the 'focal point'.

BTW welcome to the family

John
