Hi Friends,
It's tough enough to start and run a business when things are going fairly well. There are so many obstacles to overcome and everyone has their own weaknesses and personal issues to deal with that get in the way at times. Information overload, distractions, time management; these are just a few of the numerous things IM'ers deal with on a daily basis along the journey to success.
Every once in a while though life can really deal a blow! Illness, injury, financial setbacks, fill-in-the-blanks. Sometimes it's enough to make one want to just give up and go find a J.O.B. Sadly, some do. And perhaps it's worth mentioning that although it seems unthinkable, some give up, and I do mean GIVE UP, entirely.
What can a person do to avoid loss of their business, home, sanity, or worse? It's difficult to think clearly when problems are beyond overwhelming. That's why it's so important to have a support system. Some people that are caring, understanding, and patient. People that can be counted on to come to the rescue and give helpful advice and reminders of hope and personal worth.
It's also good to have these positive qualities and share them abundantly when it's someone else who is in need.
Some people find strength through prayer. Sometimes just a good listener can ease the burden greatly. Even practical help may be in order in certain situations. There's no need for anyone to fear or be too proud to just reach out and just say, "please lend me a hand". There's no shame in that. Everyone can give, everyone can receive. That's how it should be. Such give and take is what keeps the planets in alignment, and humanity from annihilation.
Hopefully all will remain or become as happy, healthy, reasonably prosperous, and trouble-free as possible but should the need arise, let's remember that there is hope and help for all. This forum is truly unique and filled with caring, helpful people!
~Karen
