Just wanted to let you know I found and used a free service that was really fun.  The site is called www.mywebface.com.  You can create a fairly realistic cartoon representation of yourself and change all manner of things--like accessories and backgrounds (and wardrobe).  I briefly considered using a speedo type outfit, but decided to go with as many clothes as possible. (Big Smile Here.)

Hey magicman

Thanks for the link to the cartooning site.

The main problem I have with these sites is that one has to download a toolbar.

I've got that many toolbars I can not see any web page content.

Hi Jim -- I downloaded the toolbar, did the cartoon and then went in and deleted the toolbar.

Karen - Thanks for the kind words.  When spring comes, I'll consider a wardrobe change.  BTW, the site will also allow you to re-size your image to perfectly fit some of the social site formats such as Facebook. - MM

MM,

You're welcome.

And thanks for the info re: resizing images. I sometimes end up with a distorted replica of me at those sites, or it won't take my photo at all because of the size.

Although, I have now found an onsite place where I can "shrink pictures."  And I absolutely, positively love it.
It's http:www.shrinkpictures.com  in case anyone wants to check it out or test it.
