Changes in a blog
« on: June 05, 2011, 04:18:23 PM »
Hi just used one of the latest gold downloads and tried it out. (seem pretty good!)

I have to set up a blog and have done that, but I want to take off some things in the sidebar.
I looked all over but cannot find how to delete them
They are on the right hand side bar and the ones I want to delete are
META
PAGES
BLOGROLL and
ARCHIVES

Maybe it is because of the theme as I have had no trouble with others
anyway anyone got any ideas?
here is the link to the blog

Thanks
Brian

Many themes have stuff like that as the default sidebar if there are no widgets. Just add a widget (text, whatever) and see if those go away.

If you want to get rid of the sidebar entirely, you'll almost certainly have to modify the theme.

Let me know if you need some customization done.

All done thanks for the idea Wayne "modify the theme"

I looked at the editor, I knew it would be hit and miss but I deleted the code for the sidebar menus I did not want. Clicked update .... refreshed and all was OK! (I hope)

Well you learn something new everyday here  :::tu
