Checking Spider Visits

Hi Gang

OK - I've discovered how one would find out how many search engine spiders have crawled your Wordpress site (use a plug-in called Statpress Reloaded (amongst probably others) but...

How would you go about getting the same information for an HTML based site?

Cheers

Val

Hi Val,

What I have always done is sign in to my cpanel and go down to to the LOGS group of icons and click on AWSTATS. You are then asked which of your domains you want to check stats on. Select the domain you are wanting then scroll down the page that opens until you find Robots/Spiders visitors (Top 25). If you look just to the right of that, depending on your version of cpanel of course, you can also click on Full list.

Hope that helps,

Mike
