Thanks for this information, Zulf.
And it looks like when "you talk to yourself", you come up with something useful! Way to go!
Karen
You are welcome Karen and thanks for the encouraging words :)
In the meantime I think I have come up with an interim solution where we can actually use the script within Wordpress without the need to creat a user name and password - I think this is better than having it as a stand alone since there can only be one Admin user for the script in that format.
The solution: I've ported the script in to a plugin that uses the <object> call to render the script as a page in the admin dashboard where you can then create, edit and save your templates. In order to get around the issue with the non-zip download I managed to find a plugin that an excellent job of moving files around your Wordpress installation - to be honest, I think its pretty awesome :) - I used the wp-elfinder plugin to grab the files from the scripts' pages folder and directly drop them in the current theme folder (Important: use the copy paste facility instead of the move funtion so that you retain a copy of the template in the pages forlder just incase).
I have also found a couple of bugs with the script - it renders the optin form irrespective of your selection and it fails to render the background image for any given template. The workaround for this is to go into your theme editor and make the adjustments before using the template - anyone with coding skills who can give a solution to these bugs will be appreciated.
Here's the deal: I am going to release the plugin (my own plugin + the script ready edited to work with the plugin files) in the near future as I want to make sure at least 90% of it is fully functional. This is where you come in - I am looking for a few people to test the plugin out and give feedback so that collectivelly we can get there. In return when I release the plugin you have access to it a not charge :).
So if you are interested please raise your hand and I'll get a copy sent to you - I am looking for about 5 people for this offer, but if more than needed hands are shown then I'll as Mark if he can include the plugin in the download area.
2 points I must make clear though: 1) You have personal use rights only, and 2) You must understand that there are some bugs that need ironing out.
Cheers,
Zulf
