Is there not a symbols tab with all the ones you need. I'm only going by Word which has a tab for all different symbols.

P.S. I also looked at Trellion. But that's all I did. I didn't want to take the time to try to figure it out; I may go back to it later.

There is probably other ways to find it but I got it like this

right click on tool bar and choose "customize Quick Access Toolbar"

then from the add menu on the left scroll down to find  "&Font... "  add it to the right then ok

Next time you use the AA button on the toolbar all the font options should show.

Working ok for me now

That's good to know. When I used Kompozer it was a pain in the backside only having a couple of font options.

I use Seamonkey.  It is very intuitive and I like the way you can switch from pure HTML to 'what you will actually see on the screen' modes.

Thanks for the information on SeaMonkey.

I've used it a few times, since it was mentioned here somewhere earlier.  But I still tend to gravitate to Kompozer...which actually drives me nuts sometimes. (The code multiplies itself for some reason and since I'm not that swift with code anyway, it's time-consuming for me to try to find something I might be looking for in the code.)

On the other hand, I do like the different font colors for different code (purple and blue) as they stand out...again, it helps me locate something.

After you mentioned it, I just downloaded it and looked at it.

The HTML TAG mode is very good - you can easily see all your DIVs, LIs, ULs, etc, etc - very useful.

Last time I answered this question I found a couple potential editors by Google'ing something like ''open source HTML editor''. A couple of the choices that looked like good options for testing were Bluefish (my first choice, has advanced features to grow into), Seamonkey (firefox-like browser with builtin editor), Aptana (full blown development environment, probably overkill for your uses).
