Adding HTML to Wordpress site?
« on: October 25, 2015, 06:54:07 PM »
Hi y'all -

I have a wordpress site currently using Thrive Content Builder and would like to add a straight HTML sales page to the site?

What's the best (you know, easiest) way to do it? Thanks - MM

Hi MM.

All you have to do is create the page in a HTML editor and FTP it to your site.

Start linking to it and building your traffic generators...

Unless there is something else you want to do with it, let me know.

Hey MM,
I assume you mean take the html from a standard webpage and place it into the WP "Pages".

I'm just digging into Thrive stuff myself and I tried it just the other day. The page I was working with had the CSS in the head so I tried using Thrives custom css option.

I believe you'd also have to upload images to the media library and redo all the src's accordingly ... which I did.

Not sure what I did wrong but it didn't work.

I'm not giving up on it and will try to remember to come back if/when I do figure it out.

As a workaround I did as Al suggested and made separate directory/folder for each item. If you decide to go this way remember to make a subdomain. WP will not acknowledge a directory/folder setup outside of WP.

In my case I made a subdomain "specials" them place each item under it in it's own directory/folder.

Hope this helps.

Yes, you can use HTML in WordPress website. WordPress allows you to add HTML tagging and programming.

use the ckeditor it has a source button you just copy and paste the html code in there and that's it. close the source and then just upload the images and place them into the page where they should be. Just right click on the missing image and select edit  image then upload it and it will replace the missing image with the actual image.
