my home page doesn't have my posts on it, and I can only access it if I add /home-page/ to the domain. The domain alone shows something I was given the option to setup temporarily, now I can't get rid of it. if anyone want to look before you answer its: 
http://abetterlifelibrary.win
and what I wanted to come up is:
http://abetterlifelibrary.win/home-page/
plus the posts and widgets of course.

Try this

Go to your WP admin page -> settings ->reading.

This allows you to choose what the front page of the site will be.
