Help! I can't download the products!

Ok blonde moment I guess but when I click on the active words for gold members to download it takes me to your sales page.  Just how do I download this stuff we are paying for? LOL!  Thanks

Hi ProsperityGal,

I moved this post into a thread of its own so that others could benefit as well.

First, make sure that you log in at "http://resell-rights-weekly.com/members/login.php" NOT "http://www.resell-rights-weekly.com/members/login.php" - if you log in using the url with the "www" included then the cookie will be incorrect and you will not be able to download the products.

Also, make sure your computer is accepting cookies. Also, clear your cache (aka Temporary Internet Files folder) and log back in to RRW. Here's how to clear your cache:

For Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer --> Tools --> Internet Options --> General --> Delete --> Delete Files.

For Firefox:
Mozilla Firefox --> Tools --> Options --> Privacy --> Clear Now (under private data).

For more details on clearing your cache, click here.

Now for a more technical answer: Whenever a person signs up for RRW, the software script that I use to run RRW sets a cookie that matches the login session for the user. If that cookie cannot be set or is removed then the customer will be redirected back to the logon screen in order to start a new session. So if for some reason your computer did not accept the cookie (or if the cookie was deleted), then the session cannot be authenticated and you will have to login again.

If the above does not work, then your browser privacy settings may be refusing to accept cookies. So click on Tools --> Internet Options --> Privacy --> Advanced

Set the option for how your browser handles cookies to "Prompt" -- Next, you will need to restart Internet Explorer and login to RRW. You will be prompted to allow the cookie or not. Be sure to check the box for "Always Allow".

If you try the solutions above and neither corrects the problem, then here's another possible solution:

If you are currently using Internet Explorer, try using Firefox to see if that solves the issue (and vice versa). There may be some type of browser compatibility issue.

I performed the directions you gave re: clearing FF, cache in order to be able to download the products (free version). Alas, to no avail! I'm taken back to the sales page.  I also typed in the url from scratch and got the same result.

I'm wondering what you suggest I try as another option to remedy this.

Hey Folks,
I'm sure Mark has a handle on this but thought I would let you know how I took care of this issue.

As Mark mentioned, it's a session cookie thing and depending on your browser privacy settings you may be refusing some cookies without being aware of it. Here's what I did to fix it ... BTW, this applies to IE7 and some earlier versions of IE. I don't really know any other browser very well.

Click on "Tools"
Click on "Internet Options"
Click on "Privacy"
Click on the "Advanced" button

You'll now see options for how your browser handles cookies.

I set mine to "Prompt" ... this allows me to decide what I want & don't want.

I then restarted IE and went to the login at RRW. Once I logged in I got the prompt to allow the cookie or not. In that prompt is a check box for something to the effect of "Always Allow" ... I put a check there then clicked the "Allow" button.

Ta-Da ... no more issues with redirect to the login page.
