my home page doesn't have my posts on it, and I can only access it if I add /home-page/ to the domain. The domain alone shows something I was given the option to setup temporarily, now I can't get rid of it. if anyone want to look before you answer its:
and what I wanted to come up is:
plus the posts and widgets of course.

Thank you Snginc, of all the comments and advise I think that last one might be the one I needed most. I'll keep at it, I think I found some tutorials for Cyberduck.
Thank you for your time and help.

Ok snginc,
      the tutorial or such was:

from oct. 2016 in the forum.

I was fairly certain that was the case with the ftp://    but since the system gave it to me ill put it in a browser and see what happens and on the http.   well I don't know anymore if it was a typo in the discussion or if I ;may have actually put it in that way for my browser.

anyway I had no idea about the public.html and I just tried the link as you provided and I did at least get to my home page but no sales letter.

Im not sure if I should just start all over. I was actually going to do just that, but I lost my internet connection till a few minutes ago.

Thank you though for all your help. I may try a different product.

OK my latest fail, (I’m learning).
I went through Cpanel for my connection and that worked.
So I did have what was originally a ‘index.html’  somewhere in the tutorial we were told to make copies of the files we were going to work with and change the names. Maybe not to change the name of this particular file, I don’t remember.

The index file was actually the sales page. So I changed the name back to  ‘index.html’.
Now from file manager when I use the view button it opens a page with all the code on it.
From cyber duck I have the options to copy or open the url.
This is the open url:

The copy option has that plus:

This is what I get from the ftp://ftp.   AND I understand that or why kind of

attachment ftp--ftp no go

With the http://ftp.   I get this:

attachment. http://ftp

I changed it to this

to see what happened and this is what I got:

attachment (oops 2 limit) well it did a yahoo search and found sites with library in the name.

Now I just noticed the double http so I altered it like this

And its the same thing with the search results.

I know this is getting long but some one responded and as you can tell “I need help”.

PS. I attached 2 files (screen shots) but didn't see them on the preview.

Thank you Jerome that was a nice full answer, I should stay busy for a while. I don't think I had an index.html file so that gives me a good place to start.

Gotta go!

if a product has these 2 lines:

[YES] Can be used to create audio/webinar/video products
[YES] Can Give Away The Product (NOT The Source Code Files) To Your
Subscribers, Members or Customers as a Bonus or Gift.

I would think its ok to use it for a blog, probably in several shorter posts. I am new to this however and would like some verification before I mess up. I have seen some that specify 'you can use for posting on a blog' so when it doesn't say can/can't, I'm not sure.

oh! I should probably ask how this fits in (it sounds self explanatory) but some also say don't be lazy edit the content so its not an exact cookie cutter copy.

[NO] Contents of the product can be edited, modified or altered

Thank you

thank you snginc,
that was on the last paragraph.
I tried the url for this product and it doesn't go to the page, instead I got a message that the page does not exist.

I've seen on some of the training video's that FileZilla can sometimes not transfer all the files and you have to just keep hitting the transfer button till they are all moved, I don't know if maybe that happened through the cpanel file manager as well.

also I tried to connect cyber duck again in the afternoon and again couldnt connect.

Thank you Magicman, if you're not using FTP may I ask how you post or market these products?

Thank you also 'snginc' I had tried going through cpanel but don't remember what the roadblock was. I don't like giving that answer so I just went and tried it again. I expected to replicate the problem I encountered previously, well it didn't happen. some issues I did/do have are:

in cpanel-file manager, I wasn't sure if I should just create a folder for my content before I uploaded it, also I've been on a Mac for almost 10 years and didn't remember exactly how to work with the file system in cpanel. I didn't want to mess things up.

There is a section for FTP configuration, BUT (you know there's always one of those) it says 'for windows'. However I did see the option of Cyberduck for Mac. I did some research and installed it. I had the same results with it as I had with Filezilla, it just would not connect (it would timeout waiting  for a response).

Fastforward to this morning after reading your question, I did tinker with 'File manager', and I did get the files moved into (public html). then I went and tried to configure Cyberduck from the cpanel end "not what I did the first time I tried it". This time it connected and I can see the files I uploaded. so Im a step closer, and I do appreciate your responding.

Now I don't know if you would like to field my next issue.
I tried the url for this product and it doesn't go to the page, instead I got a message that the page does not exist.
whether you do or not for this last one, still thank you.

Hi everyone,
Its still me and I'm still waiting for any little clue that I can chase to make this work. I also submitted a ticket to the help desk and haven't received anything I can even try to work with.
I'm not a biblical times Leper or any other current times contagious type anything, even if I was this is online, no contact, not even breathing the same air, (kind of).
I had expected to at least get a few 'did you do this' or 'try that' or even a 'haha you idiot, just .....'
Any way I love this community.

I'm using Filezilla and it will not connect to the website I have hosted by RRW, I went through as much of the info I could find and that my skills were adequate for. I even adjusted some of the settings on my router/modem firewall. I believe things should be working on my end because I can connect and transfer files to a couple of other sites. Im going to paste the last few lines of the activity log and maybe someone can identify why it drops me.
