3D Ecover needed
« on: December 14, 2009, 11:32:59 AM »
Hi Gang

I'm in need of a Photoshop / Gimp maestro

I need a 3D hardback ebook cover for my new project.

I have the title and the image required but I don't have the knowledge.

The ecover must be big enough so that the title on the spine can be easily read but not so big that it takes too long to be downloaded.

Happy to pay but will need to see samples of your previous work.

Thanks

Val

Sorry, should have added - please PM me if interested.

Ilz

Thanks for the link to the really cool ecover creator. And if it's easy, it's right up my alley.

I haven't checked it out yet but if Dom likes it, it will be good.

Just a note to you all -- I checked out www.myecovermaker.com as suggested here and it totally rocks!  My first cover a while back using Gimp took me two full days of learning and working with a fairly good result.  Today I spent about 30 minutes - including learning curve - and ended up with a great e-cover for a free report.  At least it's my best cover so far...take a look.

Thanks for the great tip in this forum!! -- MM

Oh man, MM, you aren't just kidding.

Awesome cover!

Too bad I didn't know about this a couple years ago before I "purchased" ebook cover creator software that I've used maybe once or twice because whatever I tried to create looked more like a glob than an ebook cover. (I suppose that's a bit of exaggeration...and I didn't really take the time to practice...so it's not the ecover creator software's fault!)

Anyway, I really like your cover, MM.  And I've bookmarked this site so I'll know where to find it.

Just wanted to give you all an update on this service.  I've emailed them for support two times (so far).  The first time the owner got back to me in about a couple of hours.  The second time it was 38 minutes.  Pretty nice for a free service.

I do see they've added some google adwords on the site.  OK with me!

Thank you for the "first-hand" update.  Yeah, Google adwords, gotta love 'em! Can't live with them and can't live without them. (Well.)

I appreciate knowing how customer service went with this product, too.  I'm getting ready to send my ezine this week and I'd planned to include this bit of news for my readers.  Your "testimonial" just sweetens the pot, so to speak.

You're welcome, MM.

And thank you, too.

We're a good little helpful group here.

When I sent my ezine on Thursday this week, I did include the link to the ecovermaker.

One of my readers sent me an email and said she really liked it. In fact, she had been playing with it all morning!

Also, that issue of my ezine had seven other links in it. Guess which link was clicked on...none of the other links got clicked!  ;D

Wishful thinking until our membership grows some more. ;D

I still reckon there is a place in the market for top notch ecover designers.
